Cliquey culture in client services. The dust is finally starting to settle after a series of layoffs. We'll how things go with the new management team.

No specific technology. It is a labor company in healthcare IT.
Senior Big Data Engineer/Data Architect (Former Employee) –  Emeryville, CAFebruary 3, 2018
The technology in this company is very old. It rely on out sourcing oversea to make profit. The business is decreasing step by step. They kicked out big data technology and keep more traditional techs.

Transition Pains
Associate Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Emeryville, CAAugust 16, 2017
The company has changed management a few times and the most recent change of the C levels have a lot of us in shock.

Layoffs recently happened and were handled poorly as there was poor communication.

Culture in the office isn't great. People are selective and clicky as they stay in certain groups- meaning they favor their own kind and make outsiders feel low. This can be seen in upper management for favoritism as well.

Haven't had a real bonus in over 1.5 years and they attempt to retain employees with a retention bonus with low % with conditions.
Pros
Free Thrusday lunches, free fruits 2x a week
Cons
Low avg pay and bad company culture

Project Management, Business Analytics (Former Employee) –  Emeryville, CAAugust 2, 2017
The company works their interns from China 12-14 houra a day and doesn't compensate them according to US laws. Terrible place and would never want anyone to have the same experience to see such low behavior.

Company has potential
IT (Former Employee) –  Emeryville, CAJuly 27, 2017
My ratings are based off of the old management team. Luckily, I have had a great manager the whole time and is the only reason I'm still there. With all the bad, working with him and gaining all the experience has far exceeded everything else. I can't speak for other managers.

There are some good people that work at here, but it will take some time before the old culture/views/habits change to make it a good place to work.

My starting pay was no where near competitive, but I feel a lot of this was due to old management team. Time will tell if new management is any better.
Pros
New management with good views/direction
Cons
Starting fresh with new management.

Senior Associate (Current Employee) –  Emeryville, CAJuly 18, 2017
They pay a national average for my position, so living in the Bay Area and making the same amount as someone in a less expensive area was very frustrating.

A great company intersects between Healthcare and Software. Much needed in this space. I have met great people in this company. Good products and just need more time to scale and standardize.

Worst place to work
QA (Former Employee) –  Dallas-Fort Worth, TXMay 16, 2017
Worst place to work, management is too much in to politics and no one cares about the employees. They kept on putting the pressure for their work and dont listen to the ideas of the employees.

Business Analyst Intern (Current Employee) –  Richardson, TXMay 3, 2017
They need to hire more resources. Everything else will work out well if they had more workers. Most of the time employees are overstretched with assignments.
Pros
Challenging environment and good opportunity to learn
Cons
Too much of work and not enough pay

Internship
Data Quality Intern (Former Employee) –  Richardson, TXMarch 14, 2017
This is a great place to kick start your career, unfortunately employees tend to not stay more than a year due to work/life balance and comparison of pay from other companies. Give the internship a chance, it can serve as a milestone for less experienced graduates. At the end of the internship be sure to have other offers available, the company did not inform me if they will hire me until the last week.
Pros
Culture, pay + overtime, great learning experience
Cons
Company budget for full time, training needs improvement, high turnover
