I would lead my team with respect and dignity and would come to work with a common purpose-the patients. I would have one on one feedback with my department and would co duct surveys to see if a unit based council would be beneficial to the employees to bring a sense of ownership to the table.
Scrub colors do not make a place more efficient or run better as someone has suggested. We should all be allowed to wear whatever ever scrubs we want.
Nurse and techs would wear same color scrubs. These color coordinates are the biggest problems on the units

I would update the computer charting software. The current Meditech system is very old/ outdated and time consuming. I would change to a more user friendly and more time efficient program. Most of the larger hospitals in the DFW metroplex use epic and it is so much better.
Appreciate your employees!!! Directors management less beatings / meeting and connect with the employees!!!! Better communication and pay HR will tell you they are competive that is a lie. Do the research with other hospitals in the area it is not true. If joint committee knew what occurs..... and how management is it on top of issues they would not be happy! You
