You get an 80 hour bank per year which covers vacation and sick days. The nature of the business makes it hard for couriers to call out sick. Unlike an office where you have people who can cover you thats not the case here. There are cover drivers but they are often covering vacations, staff shortages, other sick people and so on. It can vary by location but the courier business in general is not an easy one to get sick days from.

Part time couriers would get 250 every quarter but i think theyve done away with that recently. Full time couriers get 450 bucks every quarter but its incentive based so you can have deductions from that bonus based on things like excessive absences, poor job performance and so on. That said they dont really try and find ways to take it from you...you really just have to be a poor employee to have deductions happen. Two years in and i havent had any bonuses taken from me or any deductions happen.

None. We were promised a casual on call courier who could fill in during emergency situations. We still do not have one. There is always a scramble to find coverage when someone can't come in due to illness, etc.
