What I love most about this job is the opportunity to learn a variety of things including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and many other things outside of HVAC

High Stress, centralized command.
Manager (Former Employee) –  IndianaApril 12, 2018
If you enjoy high stress, politics, backstabbing, and constantly changing goals and expectations, this is the place for you. 110+ hospitals nationwide. Running out of a central office, no authority given to local leadership.

Work that feels like play
Sr Client Experience Coordinator/Accounts Payable (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INFebruary 22, 2016
It's rare in this world that you can work at a place that doesn't cause flashbacks of every scene in Office Space. Medxcel is a place that is work but feels like play. A leader in it's industry and a real focus on work/life balance, this company knows what it takes to create actual relationships with its employees.

Pros
Great compensation and benefits
Diversity in job duties
Advancement opportunities that are actually encouraged

Cons
limited amount of part-time opportunities

Horrible management
Power Plant specialist (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 30, 2016
They have no idea what they're doing. Clueless to the work that is done and who does the work. Management is not involved. No written policies or procedures and they change expectations of employees constantly. Completely unorganized clusterf*uck of an organization. They make promises to the employees and customers they have no intention of keeping. Horrible company to work for.

Dead End J.O.B.
Maintenance Mechanic (Current Employee) –  MIJanuary 25, 2016
Medxcel's motto should be all for the company and save the company a buck!!
They took over our company in 2015 and so far we have have minimal training on the new procedures, little to no contact with managers, they cut our shift premium, took away a holiday, have not given a single review or implemented any goals. We have had several procurement and human resource people up and quit. Safety is unheard of. We are expected to change shifts on a moments notice and have been short handed since July.
With low pay and no chance of advancement, unless you are looking for a dead end J.O.B and have no ambition, look elsewhere!
Pros
Indoor work, good benifits, the hospital employees are all great
Cons
Low pay, no advancement, no training, no procedures, no guidence.
