I worked as a produce clerk for over a year. And also a few months in bakery. I was team oriented and went over and above to support my team. The demands of the job we're unrealistic but I strove to do my best. None of that matters at Meijer. They base your review strictly by the time clock. If you are 2 minutes late it goes against you and they rate you from one to four. Go below four and they haul you in for a talk with the manager. there is a real double standard too. Slackers that called in all the time got away with it while hard workers like me were given a hard time if 2 minutes late too often. The only good thing about Meijer is the union which negotiates benefits and regular raises.

At my store that starting rate is 10.80, with a shift diff of 50 cents and experience diff too. Depends on the experience for more pay. You also get a raise every 700 hours worked, which is decent.

Fill out your application. Wait for an email or phone call for an interview after about a week. If no email or phone call , call the store and check on your application itself.
Then if you get a call or email then they will tell you what day your interview is.

Unless your shift is super short on people, they don't want anyone doing overtime and you can actually get in trouble or written up for not clocking out in time
