I did a phone screen with a recruiter, then they set up an in person interview with the operations manager at the hospital the next day. I received a call a few hours after the interview offering me the position. I was emailed paperwork to submit for a background and occupational health screening. The background took about 2 weeks and the occupational health results took about 3 days. The requisition system was down so I didn’t start until about a week later.

The policy is fair but not generous. You have to use PTO for sick and vacation time and 2 personal days and 1 spiritual day. So there is no separate time. I earned about 14 vacation days per year.

Well for 1 I always wanted to work at MHSW since a could recall. I used to tell my mom that one day I was gonna work there and she was yes dear the skies the limits and don't let anybody else tell you different. So that same day I pass my state exam for CNA I went to apply and I asked how long before I heard anything about my application. I was told that I would be assigned to recruiter and I got the name and I kept on calling each week to see if anything for me had come up. So by me showing how bad I wanted work my recruiter saw that and she got me 2 interviews 1 was for labor and delivery and interview #2 was the 4th floor and I accepted and was there ever since until I had to relocate to Cypress.
