The coworkers are nice and mostly everyone is supportive and friendly to each other. But the organization of the company is horrible. Changes are hard for the company.

Depressing.

Stay away from this place, management was the worst in my working career, micromanage by manager and director. No team work "old cats" always come with there sonority rules. You will learn on your own cause no one will help you.

Great place to learn and grow

I’ve been with the company for nearly a decade and wouldn’t have a problem recommending it to anyone looking for a job. Mileage will vary, but my colleagues at the corporate office (including the senior management team) are supportive, accessible, and friendly. There are plenty of career growth and development opportunities (I’ve been promoted several times), and I have no plans on going anywhere else. Above all, I have the pleasure of working with some of the most mission driven people I’ve ever met, which makes for a great work environment.

Employees work as a team

Management only cares about the RN and not those under the RN hardest, part of the job is not enough coverage and very busy the great part of the job are seeing parents discharge home with their premature babies healthy

Pros

Lunch is 30 minutes

Cons

Cafeteria is far away, so you don’t quite get 30 minutes

depends what unit you work in

worked multiple units. Mostly fun and supportive staff, except the ER. If the ones in charge don’t like you… they can make your shift an absolute nightmare, if they want to.

Busy back office

It's a great learning experience, however not much room for growth. Angry patients to deal with, but also some sweet! Programs easy to navigate, and new technology always.

Great company to work for

Plenty of experience gained by working here. The company makes a conscious effort to make employees feel appreciated. Room to grow as well. The only con would be that there are times where employees can be overworked and the team can go long periods of being understaffed.

Fun if Passionate

I started volunteering here when I was very young out of love for medicine and the hospital environment. If you are only going to volunteer for high school volunteer hours and leave (no passion and cause more work for other volunteers)…please consider somewhere else…

HArd to work for your managers

Please be aware, there are two managers at the Fountain Valley office . One of those managers will make your time working there a nightmare, She will be calling you several times a day to micro-manage you until you get so sick of it.

Cons

Manager

Learning experience and good management

Working here is definitely a learning experience: and you learn a lot by just working day by day. Overall a great place to work, but management needs to do better.

Lack of Good Leadership

You will not have recognition, appreciation nor acknowledgment for your service. You are replaceable at any time they decide. The turnover rate is consistently very high.

Pros

Free Coffee ?

Cons

No advancement

Poor leadership

Poor communication and top down approach from management and leadership team. Too business oriented. There is faux care for employees, including physicians, other providers, and ancillary staff.

Great learning experience

A typical day can be anything but typical, depending on which facility you work at. Once it is known by upper management of your upper skill set, it can be used to their advantage, w/o appropriate compensation. I felt like there was too much focus on "he said, she said" accusations, then ones job performance.

Pros

Opportunity to move facilities and specialties

Cons

Not much room for advancement

Lowest pay

Pay doesn’t match the workload. Management is great but mostly just talk about supporting you don’t actually follow through. Benefits are ok but could be better considering how little they pay.

room for advancement

There is definitely room for advancement and lots of open positions through out the organization. Management is okay. Supervisor has her favorites. other than that the job is great, great benefits, great doctors.

Pros

Room for advancement, benefits are great

Cons

short lunch breaks for MA's, favoritism
