Family oriented, management available, team work encouraged
After working with this company for over 3 years, I can say that I am blessed to work here. A compassionate, patient owner with an "open door" policy; initiative is encouraged and all staff are asked to remember we are in the health CARE business: residents and families do come first. Having worked at other senior communities, I can say we are above average in our responsiveness to the needs of not only our residents but also their loved ones/families. Working with those suffering from Alzheimer's and other dementias is not for the faint of heart - it requires a dedication and strong work ethic. Teamwork is vitaly important and although we have, overall, an awesome team, there are always stronger and weaker performers in every company. The owner is understanding and very supportive of the staff - he does his utmost to create a harmonious, family-friendly work enviroment.

The coworkers (CNAs, LPNs) are good and kind. They are supportive and help each other out, and give their 100%. The management wants you to be fine doing an entire building to yourself sometimes, and it is heavily understaffed. You will be blacklisted and on the bad side of management if requested for any day(s) off, no matter duration of work. You will be blacklisted as well if you raise any points of concern for the health of staff or residents. They deeply care about money, even to go as far as not letting us be able to provide full care. They intentionally make it short staffed, and do not care about the health of their staff. If you call out, you will be heavily blacklisted and on their bad side. They may take away hours from you out of spite, and they are unforgiving. The staff makes the job worthwhile, the support and strength everyone gives one another while management overworks us, is comforting and helpful.
