Depends on the department I worked in behavioral health and it is awful. The managers or childish and need more classes on how to actualy manage a palcw of business and individuals. Also the people they hire or something else most play good to get in then once they are in they act a fool. Management plays favoritism and bully the staff they do not like. Its a really stressful work environment and it is not healthy.

Mercy claims to be a place of "right relationships" that is not the case. Mercy has "civil relationships" that is, do what you are told, smile and be polite. Don't address problems, resolve conflict or even acknowledge there is a problem. This current culture is a breading ground for dissatisfaction, distrust and contempt.

Like being in high school. Patients are supposed to come first but everyone is too busy gossiping, backstabbing or texting to care anymore. And that includes management. It's sad and disgusting.

It really depends on where you work. Some departments are better than others. One theme that seems consistent is that the “Mercy Spirit” is long gone. This is evident by how the coworkers are compensated.

The management does not care about you or the patients. It's money, money, money, with them. Do not try and give them ideas on how to improve the department. They will take it as you are questioning their leadership, and then you will be labeled a trouble maker. Management loves to write you up for the smallest made up reasons, black mark on your record equals less of a yearly raise. Send people home early even when busy to make up for slower days.
