I am a former recovery specialist at the Bradford Vt location..I worked there for 3 years on the adolescent unit, I absolutely loved my job. I also helped out on other units when needed. We had a great team and a wonderful rapport with patients and also other organizations ect. The director then was amazing and supportive and coworker were awesome..we were all FOR THE PATIENTS!! I feel that when the new company took over we lost so many good people that absolutely loved their jobs and genuinely cared..and many of them that stayed were looking for another job. The previous owners were very respectable and treated employees like family..I think coming in and changing almost everything really caused an uproar. From experience, it didnt have a warm and inviting or comfortable feeling at all and many of the patients were previous patients and felt this change as well. It is a very small town and the people here arent used to feeling unappreciated or uncomfortable. I have read so many reviews and they are all the same..I would suggest that you read them and fix those things. Though If things are not broke..they dont need to be fixed. This is hard work but people here care n love what they do..it should be fully respected. One of valley vistas main core values is and always has been compassion! Please practice this!!

It is my job to create a job environment of building people up. Even Upper Management. It is a lot easier than you think if you can improve peer productivity and compliance by letting people know they are important human beings. It may be the case that Management suffers because they see condescension as normal behavior. Remember; Mental illness never sleeps....g
