Difficult place to work
Chemical Health Technician (Former Employee) –  Stillwater, MNJuly 10, 2018
Difficult place to work due to revolving door. Although it can be rewarding in helping folks get off drugs. I do take satisfaction in that.
The hardest part of the job is putting up with management's attitude about the para-proffesionals.
Pros
You do help guys get off drugs
Cons
Staff treated like slaves

Don't say we didnt warn you
Chemical Dependency Technician (Former Employee) –  New Brighton, MNJanuary 31, 2017
Its all about money money money. Management cares only about filling beds. They do not care that every location is short staffed. They do not care about remaining in compliance. They do not care that staff members put their lives in danger each day working with dangerous clientale and they do not care that staff are all burnt out. Staff try their best to do with as little help as they have and are constantly disrespected and threatened by the residents and management do nothing to put an end to it. Clients treat staff worse than the mice that infests all of the facilities. I feel bad for the ones truly wanting help and end up leaving due to the dysfunctions of this place.

Chemical Health Technician (Former Employee) –  Mahtomedi, MNJuly 16, 2015
If the state came in... you will be out of a job in a second. Do not hold a license and work for this company. Save yourself the heartache... Pay is terrible, client care is terrible, you will not be able to sleep at night... Just don't do it.

Coworkers are awesome

Helping others, working as a team player, staying busy, Always no that no one is difference people just have difference issues and can get better the hardest part of the job is seeing a person give up .The most rewarding part is seeing a person making it thought the end and leave with a positive out look on life.

Challenging and fulfilling work.
Chemical Health Technician (Tech.) (Former Employee) –  Saint Paul, MNSeptember 15, 2014
Being a Chemical Health Technician, (TECH) is challenging and rewarding. Assisting clients with their personal needs as well as helping them navigate the CD program so they may be exposed to all the program has to offer. The real challenges came when the number of staff on hand was low. It was rewarding to see the positive change in clients as they progressed through the program.
Pros
Direct client contact
Cons
Under-staffed at times

Company does not care about its employees, overworked and underpaid
Chemical Health Technician (Current Employee) –  Saint Paul, MNDecember 18, 2013
Clients are great, but it is unorganized which makes the job more stressful. They are out of compliance with HIPPA and DHS, client care is supposed to be the focus but it is poor.
