As a starting clinician, it was a good place to work as far as getting great experience and getting to run different groups. I enjoyed the flexibility of being able to discuss various topics on recovery and I learned a lot at this job. My main issue with the company was unequal number of paid days off for clinicians. I worked a Tuesday - Saturday schedule and did not get most holidays off since most holidays fell on a Monday while I worked there. I wrote a letter to upper management and still was not granted the same number of paid time off as Monday - Friday clinicians, which didn't sit well with me. I did appreciate the benefits received, getting regular supervision and I liked the team I worked with. Overall, the job was good but the some of the policies were borderline unethical. I left on my own terms because I didn't feel I was being treated fairly.

Most clinicians do not get to start out with full benefits and a guaranteed paid 40 hours per week but Meridian provides this. I would recommend this place to work but you must be able to work fast paced as this is a very fast paced job
Pros
Management pay good work hours good colleagues
Cons

Management has no idea what they're doing. Very incompetent. Very untrustworthy. Very unorganized. They play favorites and talk behind each other's backs. Anything and everything is discussed with anyone and everyone. Very unprofessional and unethical. Meridian does not care about recovery. Their goal is to make more money by any means necessary. Fudge some numbers, bill the state, and claim it was used for "treatment". And they act as if Covid-19 does not exist, even though they've had both clients and staff test positive. Employees are not provided with masks. Some
managers don't even wear a mask. This is not a good company. There's a reason the turnover rate is so high.

Intake Coordinator (Former Employee) - Waterford, MI
This company has repeatedly screwed me and other employees with shady private promises of advancement. A “quid pro quo” you work this overtime for a few months and you will get this promotion. I’ve worked with my raise “pending, until it never came”. I’ve worked every shift in most departments. Management has little to no experience in the departments they are over, which means no support at all for staff. Supplies are always low, they rule with an iron fist and the HR department is like a group of high school kids who divulge personal information about other employees as a way to gossip and make fun of them. This is a terrible place to work. I strongly urge anyone to refrain from working there. Just don’t do it. Work for Uber or something. This place is a nightmare
