I generally work 8 hours per day, however, my days can be as long as 11 hours depending what I’m working on (I work in the IT department). If I get caught up on a project, or assisting a restaurant with a crucial issue, this is what generally carries my day longer than 8 hours. Otherwise, and more often, my shift is consistent.

The best advice I can give, is to make sure that your resume aligns with the requirements of the job, or the skills required for the position. The requirements for the position are generally posted in the job ad posting. When we go through resumes, we tend to look at the needs for the position and base our candidates off of those needs.

Once you land the interview, you are generally interviewed by who would be your direct supervisor, then followed by their supervisor (this applies in the corporate office, the restaurant process may be different).

You first apply, it can be weeks before you are contacted. You the need to go in for an interview, after you must wait for them to call you again which can take from 3 days to 2 months depending.then you must fill out I-9 and job eligibility forms which take a few hours, you then must wait for corporate to approve of the hire which can take anywhere from 1 day to 1 month sometimes longer, this is only if the general manager of the store is actively looking for applicants, most are not. The whole process can take from 2 weeks to 4 months
