Eliminate the racism, favortism and void between management and “regular” employees.
I would allow my employees to have at least two Saturdays off a month, possibly a weekend as well. Also, I would make sure my employees can come to me with any concern that they have and I’ll make sure I can solve the problem.
I know there is always a budget to follow but the employees are the first people customers see and if the customers see an unhappy or overworked employee it shows. An employee that is overworked and underpaid leave room for a high turnover. So if I worked there or a manager there I would give bonus incentives or petition for higher pay. We want our employees to stay especially the good ones but they have to want to stay and I believe they would if they have great incentives.
Be consistent across the board, increase wages annually, provide supervision hours, offer career advancement
Instill better communication and programs and benefits for retail employees.
Hire a more serious crew
