I feel that they select people to interview just to say that they have interviewed a diverse candidate pool without every having any intentions of hiring them.
As stated earlier I felt as if there was already a candidate selected but I was being contacted to satisfy the HR process and say that they interviewed a diverse pool of candidates. However, the vibe that I felt was that they were trying to get free consulting services based on the questions asked.
