There was great nurses on this unit. The management needs to be completely re organized from the Manager up. The Manager on this unit has only been there a year and she really does not know how to manage at all. The typical work day was very stressful because there were critical patients and the nurse patient ratio was to high to properly care for these types of patients. When there was supposed to be a ratio of 3:1 this never happened. and the management did nothing about this.
This facility overall was not too bad. My biggest concern was lack of communication with management. Not following up with true patient safety concerns as well as showing a lot a favoritism among staff members. Family should not be allowed to work on the same shift, same floor ever. At this facility it's seen way too often.
wonderful people to work with, still have a pretty awesome mother and baby unit
too much favoritism, everyone should be treaty equally
