ED Patient Access Representative/Admitting (Former Employee) – Arcadia, CA – July 16, 2018
A typical day at work would be coming into a graveyard shift with a crowded ER waiting room. In this job, I have learned a great deal on how to work under pressure and to remain calm on uprising situations. I loved working with my co-workers, it was a true team. We knew how to help each other out without even speaking. The hardest part of the job was if there was no communication between other shifts.
Graveyard shift worked as a team/family
Difficult to watch elderly patient in pain having to wait for long periods of time
Worker (Current Employee) – Arcadia, CA – July 3, 2018
I actually love working here. However, my wallet does not. The hospital seems stagnant and there's no place to move up. They keep hiring people from the outside who stay for a year or two then move on. Why not hire from within and give them a chance to earn competitive pay and grow their loyalty?
I will say though, the people are great to work with.
Patient Transporter (Current Employee) – Arcadia, CA – April 12, 2018
Working at Methodist hospital has it's PRO's and CON's. It is a great place to work if you are just about sacrificing pay to work with cool people. As it is important to enjoy the people that you work with, it is also important to get paid the money you are worth. And getting paid the money you're worth will not happen here.
Bunch of old supervisors...who refuse to modernize.
CLS (Former Employee) – Arcadia, CA – March 21, 2018
The worst place to work. No chance of advancement or promotions. annual pay raise ridiculously low; twenty to forty cents per hour. Lazy fat laboratory director who only cares about her annual bonuses.
Registered Nurse (RN) (Current Employee) – Arcadia, CA – February 7, 2018
Methodist was the first Acute hospital job I got after getting my RN license. I have had such a great experience working here. Mostly because of the people. To be perfectly honest, the benefits are very minimal compared to some other places. But the camaraderie and support I have experiences from my co-workers has been worth all the stress. We are highly rated among all the state surveys for our customer service. I loved my time there, but I need room to advance and grow. It is a bittersweet parting of ways and I will never forget all the knowledge, skills, love and support I had here.
Facilities Office Coordinator (Former Employee) – Arcadia, CA – February 2, 2018
Typcial Hosptial environment. I worked in the maintenance department so the dynamic was a little unique at times. There are a few wrinkles that need ironing out as with any company, but other than that I enjoyed my position there.
Methodist Hospital is a great place to work they are giving Hospital to charities.

Maintenance Journeyman, Facilities Department (Current Employee) – Arcadia, CA – October 29, 2016
I have worked at Methodist for almost 13 years and have learned many things in my trade. The management and I have gotten along very well . The work load is more then sufficient to get in an 8 hour day . I have enjoyed going to work at a good place over the years.
Flexible work schedule
No real room for advancement, Benefits have changed for the worst over the past 5 years
