EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (Current Employee) – Little Rock, AR – November 5, 2018
Work day depends on if you work a 12 or 24 hour schedule. If you work only your scheduled hours, there is not a lot of room for advancement. You need to be putting in a LOT of overtime to be looked at favorably or to make ends meet.

It’s a nice company overall. Like every company its got issues. Overtime opportunities are plentiful. Chances of advancement are good as long as you keep your nose clean. Some supervisors are great and will bend over backwards to help you out others could care less. Dispatch is great on some shifts and you can trust them to have your back others not so much. The training department is great they put out top notch medics and emts. Most of the medics and emts here are cool people but there are some bad apples just like everywhere. Scheduling will work with you if you have a problem. There is a lack of communication quite often. The trucks are old and falling apart after than they can be patched back together. Support staff gets paid more than street crews so that kinda sucks. Bottom line if you want to work hard for little pay its the job for you. But then again it’s EMS wouldn’t expect anything different however I didn’t get into for the pay.
