A humble Employer
Medical Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Alexandria VaJanuary 1, 2013
I was in charge of making, setting, and verifying appointments. I collected co-pays, outstanding bills, medical records from archives, allergy, audio, and skin care products. I filled in new patient demographics, answering 1000 plus inbound and outgoing calls in a 8 telephone line system with 6 other receptionist. I had to verify referrals, insurance company and card. I assorted medical charts through EMR systems such as CT scans, MRI, cats scan, post ops, ECOG or EKG's. You learn an abundance of information and get meet interesting new people every day from all diversities and backgrounds and that's what i enjoyed most about Metro ENT.
Pros
off early, paid sick and vacation leave
Cons
no room for growth, real critical with the smallest things, no 2nd chance opportunities
