That can be true. I was hired in February but did not start until April. Yes, it does depend on how fast your background and drug test come back and also if you have to get a gaming license. I work at National Harbor which is in Maryland and the state gaming license have their requirements. Not every department within MGM need a gaming license so it just all depends on what your applying for
