No room for advancement and management goes by their own set of rules.
Rather not say (Former Employee) –  Rather not sayJanuary 24, 2019
When I first started there, there was already drama going on. No organization to the company. Their mission statement is a joke because nobody follows it. If you don't agree with something and speak up about, then you are targeted and eventually they get rid of you, no matter how hard you work you won't go anywhere up the ladder, no room for advancement. Everyone is afraid to say anything there due to the repercussions of retaliation. The drama is ridiculous, certain people get away with stuff and other people that actually work never get recognized for their hard work. If I were you and you were thinking of working there, I WOULD RUN !!!! Not a good place to work.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Management horrible, bad environment

Employee Training Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Davenport, IAJanuary 23, 2019
My division had drama, back stabbing, lack of support/communication and nothing but negative coming from the management side. At one time MH was a good company to work for but due to incompetent management I don't recommend MH.
Pros
Some good fellow employees
Cons
Poor management and drama

Too much micro management and no structure!
Rather not say (Former Employee) –  Rather not sayJanuary 11, 2019
There needs to be some corporate accountability. Corporate pushes the branch to do everything however if you try and hold people accountable, then they want to step in! The upper management needs to allow there first level management to handle the employees, not coddle them because they are afraid to lose people! Mission statement is a joke! Not followed at all! The owner only cares about his charity! Pressures his people into giving to his cause. Overall would not recommend to anyone I like.
Pros
Annual safety allowances
Cons
No accountability!

Material Handling Specialist (Former Employee) –  Earth City, MONovember 5, 2018
Quite possibly the worst company I ever worked for. In the last 5 years, they've gone through 4 Sales Managers and at least 8 sales reps. They have a poor compensation plan, poor benefits, treat their employees like dirt and have massive turnover as a result. The scary thing is they keep doing things the same way over and over - even though they don't experience good results. It's the definition of insanity.
Pros
none that I can think of
Cons
leaving and going to work somewhere else

No team work, no place for advancement and bad culture. The company is constantly going through turn over and changes. They do not stand behind their mission and vision statements.

Director of Warehouse Products (Former Employee) –  Cincinnati, OHJanuary 2, 2018
Leadership has integrity and are generally good people. Somewhat stuck into doing things the same way they have for years which makes being competetive in a changing market a challenge.
Facilities could use some TLC to present a sharper image.
Pros
Integrity and a good product
Cons
Aftermarket service could improve

BRANCH MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Decatur, ILNovember 30, 2017
I enjoy my customers and handling my employees in the day to day business! Very busy and multi tasking is a must for this position. Handling employee issues and customer complaints and making sure that the culture and moral is positive and driven.

Road Technician (Former Employee) –  Grove City, OHMay 31, 2017
Management needs work. There's too many chiefs and not enough Indians so to speak. They don't show the care about employees the express when you arrive. Disrespectful people. Treats grown men like children. Not a lot of room for advancement and training is hard to come by.
