Michael C. Fina was a good retail store.
Shipping and Stock Clerk (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 19, 2018
I was a Stock Clerk, UPS Shipping. I experienced stock and shipping clerk who is able to maintain a wide range of products an inventory simultaneously. Adept at cycling products in and out based on inventory reports, keeping warehouse stock clean and organized, packing and shipping customized high-end orders and respond to all customer- related inquires.

Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Long Island, NYApril 6, 2018
Good stop gap for resume building but not a place to grow or maximize your potential. Company morale has been at a serious low for years and the company itself has been bought out. Hopefully under new management things will be looking up.

Workplace culture was great. Fina Family is wonderful to work for. Employee recognition program was the best benefit. Hardest part was inventory and dress code.

Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Long Island City, NYAugust 31, 2017
Nothing to add, the company is fit for passing by but a person with ambition will move on to bigger and better things. Especially since the management style from the previous manager was subpar so the team chemistry was suffering because of it

Overworked for very little pay. managers don't have a clue what they are doing. There use to be some good benefits until they sold the company and now everything is going downhill. this position is only good for people looking to gain experience.
Pros
People are very nice and laid back.

Stay away
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Long Island City, NYAugust 13, 2016
The company acquires accounts by over selling and the Account Manager is left standing alone trying to fix their mess as we cannot deliver promises made.

Depending on which Sales Reps you have, they often demand things, are very last minute, and expect you to jump through hoops for them (all without even a thank you) so you are basically their minion/slave.

The Senior Managers who oversee the teams have very little tenure and often rely heavily on experienced team members. Their accounts are somehow passed to colleagues (who don't get paid the Senior Manager salary) as they claim to be "too busy" yet you see them chatting all day and on their personal cells.

The company is a recognition company yet they offer very little to employees compared to other companies. The location is in an isolated industrial area. The walk from the nearest subway is 10 minutes. Typical hours are 8:30-5pm with only 45 min lunch breaks. "Summer Hours" start in mid July and you have to make up the 4 hours throughout the week which is awful.

The company recently lost some big accounts, had to do a layoff in January and is going downhill.
Pros
Friendly Coworkers
Cons
Location, Management, Benefits, Low Salary

Very unproductive place to work
Upper management (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 7, 2016
Management will under pay you & over work you too!!
Once you get established you will be layed off for no reasons at all.
It's a revolving door , don't waste you time there.
You will be out looking for another job very soon... No one stays there!!!
Upper management only cares about themselves.
They will lay you off and throw you out the door without allowing you to collect your stuff.
No dignity at all!
They are horrible people to work for!!!!
You are warned!!!
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons
Absolutely everything

Perl Web Developer (Former Employee) –  Long Island City, NYJuly 6, 2016
I worked in a factory building in Long Island , Queens, only perk was the workers lounge. It was a market driven environment when they ran out of money they laid off all the new hires. It was essentially a family ran business.
Pros
Occasion free lunches
Cons
Perl Interface was the worst Framework I've ever worked with!
