Decent company, but terrible management.

Working for the company itself is pretty decent. It follows policies and protocols to the letter. Employees have rights and are overall respected within the corporate culture. Benefits are decent too, and everything is covered.
As for individual departments, this is where it gets a bit complicated. Because not all management is like this, but the majority have a habit of being passive-aggressive and demeaning to their subordinates, especially upper management.
It is counterproductive and creates a hostile environment among co-workers and departments. They prefer to manage by fear than in a productive and encouraging environment. Or the worse scenario I have witnessed, management that will not support their reports at all and throw them under the bus when anything goes wrong regardless of fault or reasoning.
There is also the lack of resources and help within some of the departments. A person is expected to carry all the department's functions on their own when usually there was a team dedicated to helping with all those responsibilities. But due to restructuring and financial purposes, those resources and support staff were taken away.
There is a lot of potential with this company, but the passive-aggressive mindset in management needs to change for that potential to flourish in my humble opinion.
I will continue hoping for improvements. But for right now, it is not the worst place to work at, but it is also not the greatest place.
