Overall a good place to work
Somebody (Former Employee) –  MarylandJanuary 29, 2019
Life at Mid-Atlantic was balanced day in and day out. You know your job and what is required of you. It wasn't a stellar place to work, but it wasn't horrible. In the time I was there it had vastly improved over how it was when I first arrived.

Toxic Enviroment with extremely poor management
Purchasing Manager (Current Employee) –  Easton, MDJune 18, 2018
Morale is very low and toxic. The mission changes as upper management changes. Management is Very disconnected with the employees job functions and roles within the company. Very one sided organization. COO has no management shills and his people skills are even worse!
No perks for working here at all. Benefits suck at best. No 401k match. No flexibility.
Pros
None except you get a paycheck every week.
Cons

If you don't do your job or have an attendence problem, this is the place for you!
Job Title doesn't mean anything to them (Former Employee) –  Easton, MDApril 27, 2018
I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS COMPANY IS STILL IN BUSINESS!!

STAY FAR AWAY!!!

They drive away and fire the hardworking and competent people working for them, while they promote and give pay increases to the deceitful and incompetent.

You have to go through hoops to get the adequate tools needed to perform your duties. If you need something new purchased, it will take months.

The accounting department can't get it together; they either overpay vendors or don't pay at all. So if you work in parts and sales, vendors won't ship your orders because you are constantly on hold.

The higher ups only worry about kissing up to the owners and not getting the work done correctly. Co-Workers argue and yell at one another daily. It is a very stressful atmosphere.

Most of the time this place is filthy. The bathrooms are disgusting or don't work at all.
Pros
If you are a terrible employee work here, you wont be fired!
Cons
Everything about this place!

Draining and boring atmosphere
Warranty Clerk (Former Employee) –  Cordova, MDApril 18, 2018
Team work/employee unity is non existent here. Everyone gossips and works against each other. Supervisors say they're family oriented but when family concerns come up regarding hours/ schedule, they simply do not care. They have a "there's the door" attitude.
Pros
Decent pay and benefits
Cons
Strange atmosphere, mandatory (unpaid) full hour for lunch

Warehouse Clerk (Former Employee) –  New Castle, DEMarch 2, 2018
This place was very boring. Not a hard job, but there was zero training. The co-workers were okay, but everyone kept to themselves. Hardest part was trying to stay busy.

Also, this was the most disgusting place I've ever worked at. Dirty bathroom and kitchen. Don't bring your lunch! Workers smoked in the building (although management will deny this).

You will not like the GM. He'll put on a show in the interview but is totally different once you get the job.
Pros
Pay and hours are okay for starting job
Cons
Management, cleanliness, bordom

Demonstration Driver / Trainer (Current Employee) –  Easton, MDFebruary 12, 2018
Mid-Atlantic has seven locations in five states that are all very independant, yet they work together as a team for the betterment of the company as a whole. They truely believe that if you take care of your customer, your customer will in turn take care of you. This attitude extends to their employees and that makes this one great place to work!
Pros
Management cares about the employees
Cons
Have to sometimes work on or in stinky garbage trucks

Growing, fast paced learning environment
Customer Support (Current Employee) –  Salem, VAJanuary 4, 2017
Owner, CEO, and management have done many improvements with the company is past few years. There have definitely been some growing pains, however, the company is headed in the right direction very fast. Lots of critical thinking involved in every position. Taking care of customer's wants and needs is top priority. Every situation is different and a learning experience. Although the company is widespread throughout the Mid Atlantic region, employees work together to resolve issues. Pay is very competitive and each employee is paid based on their own personal skills and contributions.
Pros
Pay, Relationships between customers and employees
Cons
PTO could be better, however it is given to all dedicated employees

Accounts Receivable
Accounts Receivable Clerk (Former Employee) –  Easton, MDJuly 17, 2015
During a working day at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems I start with printing and sending all invoices from the jobs done on the previous business day. Once those are completed I then begin working on collection calls where I have a spreadsheet from the beginning of the week of all 24k+ customers and there balances to assist me in collections and what is needed. Throughout the day I process credit card payments, send invoices, and clear up all issues that may come about on a customers account.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Mid Atlantic RegionDecember 1, 2013
Operations and management are disorganized and chaotic at all levels, there is no leadership. This company goes through employees as frequently as it changes policies and product lines. Ownership and management misrepresent who and what they are capable of selling and supporting both to their customers and their employees. Sadly due to lack of leadership employees do not work well together and regularly work against one another. Something is very wrong at this drama filled company. Stay away from this one unless desperate.

Order Management Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Easton, MDJuly 5, 2013
Everyone there is stressed out because being fired is always a threat. No one is exempt from this threat, even those who have been there 15+ years. Many good people are terminated for minor infractions.

The owner is not interested in the good of his employees. He only cares about his bottom dollar, and making sure he is always ahead.
Pros
If you last, raises are pretty good

Fear of loosing your job all the time

Accounts Payable (Former Employee) –  Easton, MDMarch 12, 2013
The office politics here are awful. Employees spend more time gossiping about others than actually doing their job. When asked for help, management simply says "you can do it". Blame is always passed to those who had nothing to do with the situation or the problem. Turnover is very high because it's all about who likes you instead of how you perform the job.
