Horrible management, vets work for commission
Registered Vetinary Technician (Former Employee) – Menlo Park, CA – October 14, 2015
After recently hiring several incompetent employees over the last year (because they're not willing to pay for RVTs) the practice has gone downhill and everyone talented has left. The veterinarians work for commission and often scam the patients out of money for unnecessary lab work. One of the owners is acceptionally overbearing and makes working in the practice horrible. She does almost nothing but sit and watch the staff from her window and never has a positive thing to say. The coworkers that remain are largely untrained and inexperienced, though for the most part the other technicians and assistants are nice. The pay is very low. The owners are very cheap in that respect and in their purchasing old, used equipment other hospitals dont want anymore. Having an early shift is like walking into a nightmare. The people working the night before leave the place a mess with all the work unfinished though they rarely have anything to do while working.
