Energy, Pace, and Creativity of a Start-Up - Stability of Established Firm
Integration Team Member (Current Employee) – El Segundo, CA – January 17, 2018
Millennium offers anyone in any stage of their career the ability to make changes and/or find challenges to find solutions for. For advanced career-level there is opportunity (and a need for) mentoring and leading change. For those entering their career path, Millennium offers the rare opportunity to to learn the entire business cradle to grave - from Proposals to Awards, from design and development to execution, from the business side to the engineering and manufacturing side. The culture is: work hard/play hard, collaborative, cutting edge, implement structure but avoid red tape. Family-oriented atmosphere. Accountability required. The pace is fast and there are no silos...everyone is responsible for everything. Not a place for someone looking for an 8-5 desk job.
Company provided meals, paid training, allowance for extracurricular events/team building, high regard for work/life balance, amazing team
Great benefits and compensation, worst management ever
Team Manager, Software Lead (Former Employee) – El Segundo, CA – May 19, 2018
The company is all sparkles going in until you realize it is a family run business with no true direction. It felt like they had no idea what they were doing and every audit we encountered was total panic mode. Beyond that, the management was probably the worst I have ever encountered in my entire career. Because of the amount of nepotism, the management that mattered turned a blind eye and unless you were in the "club" you were on the chopping block with no communication or guidance to help. The best advice i could give for someone working there is keep your head down and pretend to work, they only care that you look busy.
Free lunch, dinner and breakfast, ice cream, BBQ's
The point of the meals was to keep you there, the communication was horrendous, preferential treatment, high school mentality
Senior Engineer (Former Employee) – El Segundo, CA – October 15, 2017
Good for new graduates to get some space experience.
ALL management has serious attention deficit disorder which causes continuous swirl and mess-ups, revisions, and much burn-out to make up for mistakes and mismanagement, especially of contractors, and especially involving development of electronics.
Ping Pong, good insurance
No way to provide performance feedback to CEO to get raise.
Relaxed workplace with a high level of responsibility
Flight Controls Engineer (Former Employee) – El Segundo, CA – July 1, 2015
Competitive compensation package, very relaxed atmosphere, easy to approach management, and direct impact on products. Management makes questionable decisions and seems to go through people very quickly. Virtually no room for advancement.
