Nice at first, then you get to see it for what it really is
Onboarding Specialist (Former Employee) –  San Luis Obispo, CAAugust 11, 2018
This is a HIGH stress job without the resources needed to handle it. If you aren't "in" with the right people, you will never advance in your role. The company provides itself on being transparent, but that is 100% not true. Sales is treated amazingly and is sent on trips/retreats, while customer service is left feeling like a redheaded step child. My direct manager was the only good thing about this place.

The core values are a joke. They act like they determine everything, but in reality most managers laugh at them and don't abide by them.
Pros
Occasionally they have fun events, my direct manager.
Cons
Clique-y, no chance of job growth unless you're friends with higher ups, favoritism, no resources, no transparency

Not a good place to work
ONBOARDING SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  San Luis Obispo, CAAugust 2, 2018
If you are a champion boot licker then this is a great place to work. Getting a promotion has nothing to do with merit - just who you know. They give 3 cent raises to lots of employees who are valuable after a year of work. This place is not the place to advance your career or make a living.
Pros
20 days vacation, decent benefits, friday beers
Cons
very low pay, clicky atmosphere, no career advancement, management is awful

Great culture and great people to work with. Management is great and helpful. I advanced many times but still was not able to make ends meet with the amount of money I was making. I experienced promises that were not delivered.

Think Twice Before Applying
Onboarding Specialist (Former Employee) –  San Luis Obispo, CAMarch 25, 2018
This was truly a bad experience. The culture is such that unless you are in with the cool kids or fit a particular prototype, you will never get promoted. I was a good employee and worked hard for a year and got a $.03 raise. This was common even among much stronger employees than me. MINDBODY knows they have a captive audience and will never adequately compensate their employees unless you are an executive or a computer programmer etc. PLEASE think twice before working here because I think there are many other businesses that will advance your career at a much faster pace. This was an absolute nightmare. The managers treat you like cattle....
Pros
good paid time off
Cons
see my review. Bad pay, no career advancement, hostile work environment

Unprofessional culture
Sales Specialist (Former Employee) –  Scottsdale, AZFebruary 16, 2018
My experience at MINDBODY was unfortunate. I loved their SaaS product but working with a bunch of twenty year olds that acted unprofessional, was not a good fit for me. Management did not treat employees or business leads fairly. It was a very disappointing experience.

Not A bad place to be, but needs work.
Software Implementation Specialist (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJanuary 30, 2018
Great company as a whole. Good benefits, stock options and a pretty relaxed work environment. The biggest issue with the company is management. Somewhat unprofessional when it comes to employee issues and personal information. Could benefit from extensive HR training in dealing with work related matters. Fast paced (which can be fun) and product is ever evolving. The training process could use some revamping. Training doesn't really prepare you for the actual job, and some of the reference materials are outdated. Extremely knowledge based, so if you enjoy research, this is a great job for you.
Pros
Relaxed, Great benefits
Cons
Management and ever changing workplace policies that aren't upheld

Hands in the cookie jar
Sales Specialist (Former Employee) –  Scottsdale, AZJanuary 18, 2018
If you like a work environment that is like working in a party house in college than the Scottsdale office is the perfect environment is for you. The sales floor is very competitive and the thing that bothered me the most is the VP of sales and other managers had their hands in "the cookie jar" of several of the managers and employees.

Do not work for Mindbody
Sales Specialist (Current Employee) –  Scottsdale, AZDecember 11, 2017
Poor Management with zero direction in the sales department. It maybe a good job for San Luis Obispo but if you are looking to get a sales job in phoenix there are way better options for more money. Do not waste your time.

Technical Support (Former Employee) –  San Luis Obispo, CA 93401November 16, 2017
A typical day would include getting logged on to inContact and getting on the queue asap. Answer calls all day long, spending as little time off the phone in between calls as possible so you can log the call.
Pros
Amazing benefits
Cons
Constantly being on the phone

Data intensive work environment.
Data Analyst (Current Employee) –  San Luis Obispo, CAAugust 25, 2017
MINDBODY is an intense work environment with a strong relianance of data driven solutions. Recent changes have seen the management group mature and recent additions add significant industry experience to an executive team predominated by internal promotions in some departments.

The culture is healthy and positive. However, this is very location dependant. San Luis Obispo has the largest concentration of employees and the most diverse set of working groups. Other office have had morale problems in the past and it is worth looking for reviews for specific locations before taking positions there.
Pros
Positive Culture and Product, Good Benefits
Cons
Changing structure makes it difficult to plan career advancement.
