Working with the patients is good. I got the schedule I wanted and could pick up overtime if we was short. The team worked together. I would have liked better training at first. Only reason I left was becasue of family stuff.

If you are interested in working in behavioral health, then Mirror Lake is a good place to work and make a difference in the community. Behavioral health is not an easy field, but it is a rewarding career choice where you can have a direct impact on the lives of people who are struggling with addiction and substance abuse.

Some people were really nice to work with, some did not understand a proper treatment environment. I really did not have much interaction with management. There were several staff changes while I was there.

This place was too mismanaged and disorganized. They continue to change the schedule and took out a lot of recovery. They became money hungry and started accepting anyone regardless of safety. They became dangerously short staffed and had only two techs if it was a good night to over 50 plus clients on each side. Yes 4 techs to 100 plus clients. The work load continued to pile up. Majority of staff clock out for breaks but continue to work so the work load doesn't become even more over whelming. Clients fall through the cracks every day and go weeks without seeing counselors. It's run down and there are roaches in the cafeteria. Safety is a huge problem there. You are paid bare minimum. If you want a job in recovery please do not work here.
