Recent takeover
Recently taken over by another company. Hopefully this will allow better pay and job security for staff. Previously Mission was a monopoly and the financial side was poorly managed.

I was not happy in this job.
This job was cutthroat and stressful. The management company was an outside company and the turnover rate at the hospital food services department shows this.

Wonderful Workplace
I am very pleased with this organization. The staff, environment, patients and flexibility with scheduling make it a fantastic place to call your second home.

Great Staff and teamwork
Fantastic Co- Workers. Just recently updated to new equipment. I value the company core values and love that the hospital is faith based. High turn over in the department, however that may be to different life changes. Only left because I found employment closer to home. Plenty of opportunity to learn all exams. Three different sites to work at so you can get plenty of hours.
Pros
Core values of company, great coworker staff
Cons
always short staffed

Imaging techmologist
Cut throat, back stabbing by uneducated staff, very unprofessional Toxic enviroment.Management are a bunch of liers and accuse you for any thing they feel like. They create policies and they prove you wrong on every issue you bring up,Bullying a new employee to the Max. Full of empty promises, no chance of carrier advancement. They repeat their mission values but non of the values is applicable in work environment. No respect for employee time, health,.....
Short staff, over worked, low pay, getting exposed to TB is a usual thing. Very High turn over 6 people left in past 4 months.Do Not consider working in this place EVER.

Miss this place
Like any ER or hospital it all depends on who you are work with. The management of the ER at the time I worked there was horrible, it is different management now. However, many of the charge nurses are still there and they are hit or miss. If you fit into their mold you will do fine, if not, you will be an outsider forever. Er and SICU used to work closely together, but I can't speak to that today.
Pay was okay as a tech, but when an ER tech 2 can draw blood and makes close to 5$ less an hour than the phlebotomist there is a problem.
Pros
cafeteria open at night
Cons
Pay, management

You can retire at any time......
Having to work with some nurses that should have retired long ago. There were some Doctors that really need to work on their people skills, and I am sorry, did I really just see a doctor pick his nose and eat it..... yuk. And to boot, to have a sister of saint joe's come to your appeal for unemployment and lie.... how does that fit into your religious convictions and mission in healing the sick. Loved working here, saw a lot of crazy things, it is just unfortunate that there were a few staff and doctors that really made an already stressful job worse.
Pros
great job, great coworkers(most) great doctors(most)
Cons
those few individuals that lame and discriminatory to male staff..l

MH Good for a paycheck
Working at MH ER was a good experience if you have never been in a fast paced medical setting. If you start no experience, it can be overwhelming since there are so many different aspects of the job. If you have some experience and are willing to work then its a good place to start. There's not much mobility for promotion and everyone there is too busy to help educated you, so you have to be a self starter and quick on your feet
Pros
not many pro's
Cons
to many to list
