As an Administrative Assistant, I was always kept busy with meaningless busy work. Always correcting outdated desk manuals.

There is a formal (panel) interview which asked basic behavioral questions. Then an informal interview that was given by my supervisor and Division Chief who didn't have many questions so I just elaborated on my resume which they were not familiar with. Then there was a written test that determined your document editing skills.

If HR can't stand up to certain Division Chiefs and protect the employees being bullied, then there will never be a positive work environment.
