Professional and Productive place to work for the most part
Database Developer & Analyst (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLAugust 27, 2018
A typical day can be productive and pretty straightforward.
You may learn many things depending on your experience level.
There is a bit of a mixed bag in regards to promotions and advancement. Too much politics as of late in certain departments.
Culture is very nice.
Pros
Good company to work for.
Cons
Promotion or advancement can be one-sided against the average worker.

A decent job.
Service (Former Employee) –  Pooler, GASeptember 6, 2018
Many management changes. Some good, some not. As with all companies and people, there is always room for improvement. Sometimes, you simply out-grow your current position and need to move on.
Pros
Competetive pay for some positions.
Cons
A lot of room for growth in overall culture.

Ok Place to Work
Manager, Engineering Special Projects (Former Employee) –  Basking Ridge, NJNovember 28, 2018
OK place to work. Decent benefits. Nice People. Not very innovative as a company. Office in Florida is in a very nice and in a good location. Senior Management is just mediocre.

Even as an intern you are given a lot of responsibilities. Each day is filled with problem solving and solution finding. Good work environment with helpful employees
Pros
Flexible hours, work life balance
Cons
Little defined career paths

Your either wide open or slow as a snail
Machinist (Current Employee) –  Pooler, GAAugust 16, 2018
I worked there for close to 5 years. In those 5 years management seemed to care less and less about the employees and more about the small “click” of people that seemed to always get moved up in rank. After numerous attempts I was never able to move up in position or change the shift I was working, basically stuck working in a position I could never move up in. The upside was I could literally have all the hours I wanted to work. If your not part of a particular group of friends then your pretty much looked past for job openings. At one time it was a great place to work not so much anymore.
Pros
Top of the line equipment, nice tooling, 4 day work week, holidays were paid and you had them off, ac controlled building
Cons
Short lunches, short breaks, no room for growth, layoffs and furloughs have become the new norm.

It was a great company
repair technician (Former Employee) –  Channelview, TXNovember 6, 2018
The employees there enjoyed great benefits and a 40 hour work week on a consistent basis. I however was only a temporary employee and decided it was time to move on after a number of years. Great company, I just was unfortunate enough to join on during a hiring freeze.

There are better companies to work for
Previous employer (Former Employee) –  Florida & GeorgiaJanuary 29, 2018
MHPSA is a company that cannot work well with others. They are constantly laying off people, they have one facility that they lost more then half their people because it wasn't making any money. Employees are leaving the company because they are afraid they will be next on the list to be laid off. It's also who you know there. If they like you, they will move you up and it doesn't matter the type of experience you have. If you know someone there, you will get the job, it's a " who you know"" company. Some of the management does not know what they are doing. If you like stability, then MHPSA is not the place to work for or it's other divisions. I will say though, that everyday employees that work there are good people. It is DEFINITELY NOT a secure work environment.

Middle managment is the absolute worst.
CNC Thermal Coater (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLAugust 3, 2018
Middle management has absolutely no clue as to what they are doing, employees are not treated well at all, a month straight with no time off and ten hour days are not uncommon, they pay well, but your going to work as much as they want, with no consideration to your life.
Pros
pay
Cons
zero time off

Guaranteed to advance if you dont know what you are doing
Engineer (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLApril 13, 2018
The directors of this company make the most idiotic management decisions.
The Installation and Commissioning TFA’s are the least trained in the industry. Their knowledge level is by far the lowest in the industry. This is do to the lack of both knowledgeable management and quality training.
Directors are trying to manage the workers and provide no clear direction. This along with the fact that no director has power plant construction or commissioning experience, but instead are for a manufacturing background.
The few people with a background in construction and commissioning are ignored by those who are in charge.

The next big restructure will be when senior Japanese management comes to the us and conduct a fire sale on the people who should be let go
Pros
There is a great many talented people working
Cons
The talented people are not in charge

Toxic work environment
None Provided (Current Employee) –  Pooler, GADecember 4, 2017
I do not understand the positive reviews on this site— AT ALL. We have had many employees quit due to furlough and a toxic, cut-throat atmosphere. If you can’t get any other job, it’s a job that pays the bills. Think twice though.
Pros
Benefits, Ac
Cons
Management, toxic culture, no room for advancement unless you’re ex GE or have no ethics, furloughs

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems America
Specialty Technician (Current Employee) –  Savannah, GANovember 4, 2017
In my experience, job culture is great and the money is good. Many people don't feel their value due to benefits being sacrificed for lower quality workmanship. The most enjoyable part of the job is stability and doing what I love. Management doesn't show value in personnel.
Pros
travel, per diem, 401 K, health, vision
Cons
work 7 days a week, 12 hour days, constant travel time, management, being away from home for long periods of time

Overall Good Company To Work For
Technical Clarification Specialist (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLApril 2, 2018
I was not in an engineering role. The there was no official training program. Expectation where not clear on a daily basis. Did not receive critical feedback on work completed. But in other departments very different, helpful people, very kind. The CEO is the best. He cares about the employees, communicates via a blog on a consistent base. The overall company is the best place to work at.
Pros
Great People, Great Product, Good Service
Cons
No Training Program

CNC Machinist (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLMay 5, 2018
I work for this company and overall I am very pleased with my job itself. I get paid well and the benefits are terrific. The biggest drawback for me personally is I drive too far to get there and too much overtime

cut throat
Employee (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLSeptember 17, 2018
Every aspect of the job is timed based on antiquated methods. Constant back stabbing. Reviews will be favorable, but the next day you are escorted out of the building with just a simple, "this job is no longer needed".

GT Component Engineer (Current Employee) –  Savannah, GAMay 10, 2018
Great company, but the energy sector is not so great currently. The company is focused on their employees and their safety. Pay is good. More politics than I care for.

SENIOR STRIPPING AND THERMAL SPRAY OPERATOR (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 23, 2017
Current management shows good concern for the safety and growth of employees, but opportunity for advancement is limited, and production personnel are frequently required to put in overtime on short notice.
Pros
Good benefits: medical, dental, vision
Cons

Mechanical and Site Lead (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLAugust 1, 2018
From the start of a normal work day until it was over you had someone to reach out to if there were any issues. A lot of knowledgeable people. Systems in place to use for history search of issues.
