Excellent entry level professional work
Great opportunity to find entry level professional jobs ranging from operations to engineering, technical work. Competitive atmosphere. Family oriented and wholesome values. Show up, have a can do attitude and work hard, you will gain a ton of great experience to take to your career. Great starting point for young professionals.
Pros
Atmosphere, coworkers, management, hours, learning environments.
Cons
Chaotic, directionless and overly hopeful. Raises are whimsical

Deceiving
Work in a retail environment with a sporadic schedule; a couple hours one week, then 30 hours the next week. Advertised pay rate is deceiving, technicians only get paid $12 per hour while traveling and racking up wear and tear on their personal vehicle. Most visits earn $25-$50 onsite, you actually get paid by the visit and not by the hour. They require multiple sign off sheets for each visit, but will not let you expense paper and printer ink.
Pros
Management is professional
Cons
Retail environment

MTI is great
It's a great place to work. It can be a little tricky to do at times, but it's a great tech job. Depending on where you're located, you can either get a lot of work or have very little coming in.
Cons
Only Part time available, no benefits

Great Company to Work For
I've been working for MTI for a few years now. They really know how to take care of their employees and make everyone feel like a part of the team! I have recommended MTI to a few of my former colleagues, who continue to be happy working for the company. A lot has changed over the years but if you put in the hard work the company rewards you with recognition and pay.
Pros
Great culture, work life balance, benefits
Cons
Long hours

No hours.
No hours at all. The max I have worked is 2 hours per week. Very poor organization during scheduled visits. Lack of communication with supervisors, and training is not to accurate.

Productive and friendly place to work.
A typical workday was productive and friendly. Management and coworkers were always helpful and patient in learning new software and procedures. I mostly enjoyed the friendly culture.

Part time work
This job is more suited for people that don't take pay or work in generally too seriously. Part time employee works 20 hours or less. don't see how people stay for so long. Have to be some bias to the full time. I don't recommend this line of work if you are looking to pay your bills. It may be good for the individuals that are living at home or with a rich spouse and you just need a reason to be out of the house.
Pros
You are out of the house.
Cons
Can't take this work hours seriously.

not enough working hours
Working for this company is great. There problem is they don't give you enough work on a weekly base. They don't offer full time positions and they don't offer any wage increase after putting in the time and effort.
Pros
you can select your working hours and or assignments
Cons
not enough working hours and or assignments

Flexible work schedule
The work is interesting for the most part. You can work from 0 to 10 hours per day depending on the different vendor's requirements. Some weeks there are no hours, others can be over 40. But you are given the option to choose the jobs you get, but they do not like it when you turn down work. The pay is for each individual job. If a job is projected to take 2 hours and you get it done in 1, you are paid for 2. But if it takes you longer, and it often does, you are paid for 2. They pay you for the online training, but prepping for a job is not paid. Prepping can take an hour for a job. Also, there is no reimbursement for printer paper/ink. If a job is outside of your area, they reimburse you for mileage and pay you to drive.
Pros
Pay to drive.
Cons
No benefits at all.

Overall great company to work for!
The culture of MTI is very true to the virtues and values. A ton of great people, just not enough bandwidth to meet the high expectations of the company as a whole.
Pros
Great culture, benefits, work ethic.
Cons
Bandwidth and compensation.

Not a good company for advancement
This company has no benefits for its field techs. They call them part time employees so that don't qualify for benefits. They work you like crazy for a few weeks and then you won't have any work for months. The District Field Managers dont have a clue to how to manage people, by lack of contact and knowledge. Was let go after 5 years for following direct training by company. Training had flaws in direction. Instead of identifying the flaw it was easier to blame technician and let go technician.
Pros
Lots of free time
Cons
Not enough work bad managers

Hectic and overworked
Fine position if you live to work and don't mind unpaid overtime. Working from home was expected, working 10 hours a day in office then taking meetings from home was expected.
Pros
Casual workplace, decent coworkers, management tries to keep morale up
Cons
Chaotic, overworked

Nepotism
Advancement with this company relies on who you are friends/related to, not your ability to perform the job. Management lacks integrity and does not uphold the core values they preach to employees.
Pros
Remote positions
Cons
Tries to grow too rapidly without a solid plan of action.

Pros
Good starting pay for entry-level technician

Good paying job as Mobile Technician across several state area.
Need to learn many different product types, so installs and repairs can be done. Must cover large territory, paid mileage more than fair. Amount of work never reached an acceptable level, but job was advertised as part time. Good folks to work for.
Pros
Make your own schedule, interesting work.
Cons
Quite difficult sometimes, lots of travel, not nearly enough work.

Be careful
The company has recently done a RIF due to poor financial performance. Product quality has been a challenge and salespeople have a hard time making numbers when product cannot ship or is being returned or fixed in the field. Be cautious.

Great part time work
It is an excellent company to work for and compensates the employee's well. However, it is a part time position that has inconsistent hours and demand changes with the seasons.

Its challanging to work independently in the field.
Very good company to work for. The company provided training and detail requirements on how to do the work. Very interested working with different people and different offices. The only problem is that the techs dont have enough work but since the company is growing this problem will soon disappear.
Pros
working independently
Cons
not enough working hours.

Field Service Techician
Work is very flexible and pay is fair. Jobs are paid at a flat rate and not hourly, which is tough if you go over the time assigned but as long as you contacting your District Field Manger about the extra time for the job, you may still get compensated.

Constantly changing company with potential but ...
The jobs aren't difficult or all that challenging but the training is average at best and the support isn't much better. It's about 80% retail based with very little high end technically. You are on the road and they do pay for travel and mileage.
Pros
you pick and choose what and when you accept jobs
Cons
There aren't enough jobs offered to make this job your sole source of income.
