Management level and corporate employees seem to be well-intentioned and wanting to help, though there exists an apparent disconnect between site level and corporate/management level.
The site level culture and environment is high-pressure, high-stress and cutthroat, thus leading to a feeling of widespread mistrust and anxiety.

Depends on you Regional. Some things are left for Regional discretion, which can create some animosity between regions especially when it pertains to closures due to weather or short staffing for the office.
Some Regionals are ...oh your kid is sick...ok, go get them. Some are oh...can someone else get them & stay with them so you don't miss work?
