So glad to hear that you enjoyed your time working at Monarch Landing, we have been making great strides to build a strong nursing management team. In fact, our new ADON starts on Monday next week and we have a weekend supervisor and a PM supervisor starting on 11/5! Thank you for your feedback and I hope you consider working for Monarch Landing in the future.
Let me first say that I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with The Springs at Monarch Landing. It is never our intention to have employees feel the way you do. Since we are a Life Plan Community, it is our goal to be fiscally responsible with our resident's money. In fact, financial stewardship is one of Monarch Landing's core values. Even though we keep a close eye on spending, our staffing ratio for RAs is 1:6 or 1:7 and nurses 1:16, which is one of the best in the surrounding area. I'm truly sorry that you feel as if we try to terminate long-term employees. We have many tenured employees at Monarch Landing, several that have been here since we opened our doors in 2006 and quite a few who have been here since we opened The Springs in 2014! I hope that you find a position that better suites your needs and expectations. Good luck in all of your future endeavors!
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We have had multiple changes in the nursing management team just over the last month. In fact, we have a new Post Acute Nurse Manager who started just a few weeks ago and we are currently recruiting for an ADON and a 2nd shift Nurse Supervisor as well as a weekend Nurse Supervisor. We have a Wound Care nurse starting next week. With these changes I hope that in the future you would consider working again for Monarch Landing!
I'm so sorry you had a bad experience working for Monarch Landing. We try very hard to be honest and transparent about the job expectations and work environment - in fact transparency is one of our core values. Because we work with vulnerable seniors who rely on us for most of their care it's so important that staff are consistent with attendance. As you know we do provide lots of opportunities to take time off, either scheduled or unscheduled, but it can't become excessive, otherwise our residents are the ones suffering. I apologize for the misunderstanding about the increase, we do not provide any position here with an increase at 90 days but instead after you have been with the company for a year during your annual performance evaluation. Good luck in your future career endeavors!
Thank you so much for the feedback, we are trying very hard to hire new staff to fill our open positions. We have a new employee orientation today with 6 new CNAs and 2 new nurses! If you are interested in returning we would be happy to work with you regarding your class schedule. Maybe a PRN position would be a good fit as you can pick what shifts you want to work and receive a higher rate of pay!
