Pros – Company car and fuel card, plenty of perks, monthly/quarterly/annual bonuses for meeting or exceeding sales objectives, great brands which makes selling to stores easier, opportunities for advancement for those who can relocate are very ample, a sense of entrepreneurship in having your own territory (the company is flexible in the way you operate your territory as long as it follows company guidelines and policies).

Cons – Product supply issues at the warehouses are nearly constant, seems to lag behind when it comes to taking advantage of the latest technology, opportunities for advancement for those who are not willing to relocate is very limited. Not a good position if you like working with other co-workers (this position has you working independently more than 75% of the time), consistent over-inflation of sales objectives each year, senior management is out of touch with the sales representatives' realistic day on the job, it never feels that I am actually off-duty unless I am on vacation.

Flexible hours.
You have to drive your own car and can take a toll.

Mile reimbursement isn't much. Should be more.

Stressful when many Sales reps order way more than the store needs and then leave you to deal with upset managers.

Many sales rep don't even do their job.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
low pay, stressful at times.

● Work-life balance
This is a fast pasted, physically challenging and detailed job. Organized and systematic is very important. Early arrival hours is very important.

● Pay & benefits

There are no paid benefits.

● Management

I have a very good manager but the expectation for Sales Representatives is ridiculous in increasing percentage.

● Culture

The work must get done.

● Overall

This job is very demanding. It is on a delivery schedule and when the truck arrives the product must go out on the floor. Displays must be set and back stock and top stock handled.
