Like a second family
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Spokane, WAApril 9, 2019
Mor was fantastic to me, they pour a lot of time and energy into their employees and focus on self development and wealth building. This job literally change my life more ways than I could have imagined, I had zero sales experience and they spent $10,000 training me, preparing me and eventually turned me into a sales professional. They have one of the best compensation plans in the industry and very rewarding too. there were rough times and there were good times and that what makes it feel like a family because they were there every step of the way and help you through it, great place to begin a career.

However, this job is not without its faults, the hours were awful. I often found myself working 10 to 12 hours per day sometimes 6 days a week. so if you have a family it is not ideal to be here.
Pros
great environment, great pay plan
Cons
hours suck

Showroom Manager (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAApril 8, 2019
I worked with Mor for a number of years, learned a great deal of sales skills and the ability to work with a diversity of people. If you focus, work hard and maintain positive relationships you will come ahead of the game.
Pros
Income, breaks, diversity

Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Spokane, WAMarch 30, 2019
I loved working here the staff becomes your family and the environment is fun. if you love people and you commit to your goals then you will kill it here. The hours are long but the pay is worth it! Spokane showroom is by far the best if you get to work here then you’re lucky the managers are fantastic and really work with you to meet your goals!!

Mor is a very difficult company to work for!
Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  San DiegoMarch 19, 2019
Mor has a very harsh environment a very cold showroom at all times, I have had a cold for the last 3 months. The older employees are always working towards taking or being a part of your sales. You are always told if you don't meet your specific goal that you will have a strick and will be fired after 3 strikes, it's very hard to learn under this kind of pleasure!
Pros
Great for sales experience, if your getto
Cons
You can learn street smarts and how not to have the the veteran employees take your sales

Sales Associate (Bench Mgr) (Former Employee) –  Murrieta, CAFebruary 28, 2019
Great place to make money if you like being micromanaged. Managers are tyrants even though they drug test you to hire on most of them are on them. Learn the script stay inline make your sales quota and follow the politics of the managers favorite snake on the floor and you will have a mediocre career in the middle salesmen tier at more.
Pros
If you’re good you can make some money
Cons
Most don’t make good money for the hours you have to work, managers

Lead Delivery Driver/Warehouse Lead (Former Employee) –  Boise, IDFebruary 27, 2019
I spend years busting my butt trying move up in the company to have them pay drivers more than me and hire others into the positions I was working for. I started out loving the job but hypocrisy and poor upper management lead to lazy employees and poor work environment.
Pros
Discount on furniture, game area upstairs, decent 401k match
Cons
madatory hour lunch though you usually work through it, health insurance

12 days for 5 days one week and 4 days every other week, sales strategies and goals are reviewed daily, management also sale, the workplace culture is fun great people, the hardest part is standing for 12 hour days no sitting on the job, the most enjoyable part of the job was meeting team goals and meeting people

Salesperson (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORDecember 13, 2018
If you follow the training and the sales process and be consistent you will for sure make 6 figure income. Build a great relationship with your managers and don't ever get close to your coworkers. Stay focused and help customers all day. Keep an eye on the list so you don't get screwed!
Pros
Great Comp plan. No micro management as long as you put in the work
Cons
1.Leave home at 8am and come back home at 10pm, Work 9 to 9 shifts!, 2.Say goodbye to your family for at least 5 days a week., 3. And good luck requesting time off!

SALES (Former Employee) –  Kent, WASeptember 28, 2018
Open to close shift each day. Structured sales opportunities. Customers are spoken for as they come in the door, but sales can be stolen if you do not follow your customers around the store at all times. Penalties for missing quota. Work weekends and holidays. Training is fast and effective. Salaried position for first 3 months as you learn the ropes.
Pros
Snacks provided, great employee lounge
Cons
High pressure sales position, feels like you stalk customers

Its a good job. Hard work and very fast paced. But if you can handle long hours and the tedious tasks required of you this job makes the wage all worth it. Very relaxed enviroment

Benefits are good and that's about it.
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  CaliforniaJuly 19, 2018
The benefits that come with working at Mor furniture for less are pretty good. From the medical, dental, vision, 401k to the employee purchases'. Unfortunately the rest of the work experience is not as good. There is no job/life balance to speak of, the job culture that is pushed on the employees is looked at as a joke by 95% of the employees and management is also looked at as a joke because of they're inconsistencies regarding policies, they're communication and/or lack of with and towards employees.
Pros
Good benefits, always busy, work with good people
Cons
No life/work balance, management doesn't practice what they preach, job culture is a joke
