Morehouse is a great place to work for based on who you know.
Office Manager /Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Atlanta, GA – March 5, 2018
A typical work day at Morehouse is relaxed however it can be stressful from day to day especially dealing with the people due to their insecurity. Most people are out of the office according to their schedule for destination at alternative, middle or high schools.
Culture of the workplace has been established to be out of the office most of the time.
Hardest part of the job is the understanding that most employees do not understand the other departments and what or how they get their job done.
Most enjoyable part is when its time to go home (smile).
Our programs help students to become better.
Their isnt enough money to accomodate students that have a desire to become apart of these programs.
Awesome experience and unique campus culture to serve a targeted segment.

Awesome experience and unique campus culture to serve a targeted segment. The hardest part of the experience was leaving. If you have a passion for educating African American men, I highly recommend given this full consideration.

Administrative Assistant II (Current Employee) – Georgia – January 23, 2018
The environment is academic oriented with Professors and students. Students are coming in and out of your office on a regular basis with problems to be solved, issues to be addressed, seeking emotional as well as intellectual stimulation. The Professors completely rely on you to handle any and all administrative needs of the department. You are the go-to-person for all administrative issues and concerns. You have to be an experienced administrative assistant with the ability to address issues verbally or in writing, set up complex seminars and meetings, control and manage the department budget. The environment can be very entertaining working with young adults and watching them grow. I support the executive in the department and free him of all problems in the office, and he can focus on the academic aspects of the workplace. These things are done on a "daily" basis. The hardest part of the job is having to be available all the time with an open door policy. This is a learning environment. The learning is unlimited and I have taken advantage of learning about ancient civilizations and how human civilization has developed which helps me in understanding human nature more clearly. I work in a constant learning environment that people share their intellect on a regular basis.

Institutional Research Data Manager (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – July 12, 2017
I enjoy working in an educational environment. However, my experience at this place was far from satisfying. Pro: opportunity to see many celebrities/famous persons on campus; strong brotherhood among students Cons: poor management; must be in clique to advance; cutthroat environment

Being able to help the students here was a great reward. I can't say that there was a hard part of my job but I can say that I enjoyed working with the students....I'm even going back to school myself. This was a temp position, wish it had been something more permanent.
