Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 16, 2016
It used to be a great place to work. The turnover rate is ridiculous. They don't value the employee at all. There is the regular call center mess. The only good thing is the benefits

Management is a joke, its one department vs the other department and nothing gets done and the customers are beyond irate!!!!! This is a american sweat shop with idiots running it. The hardest part of the job was just coming to work. the most enjoyable part of the job is when i quit. I learned that idiots come in all forms, color and sizes.
Pros
I got a pay check

Overall a good company
Client Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 14, 2016
Good company. Excellent Health and Welfare benefits for employees. 100% vested in 401k on day one. Very little to no training for existing employees who are fortunate to move on to other roles. Very demanding clients (both outsourcing and SaaS/Implementation). All employees tend to be in a "figure it out" mode.
Pros
Excellent health and welfare benefits, great comraderie
Cons
Little to no training (no training and development department)

Client Benefit Manager (Outsourcing) (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMarch 22, 2016
As a Health & Welfare manager, the job is very demanding. The company was short on resources, which caused us to be pulled into other projects on top of our normal daily responsibilities.

Email Correspondent - Temporary (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMarch 11, 2016
This was a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent. Due to the company losing their contract with the state of New York, my position was eliminated. A typical day was to respond to incoming emails from brokers regarding address changes, benefits updates, commission statements and etc.
Pros
Coworkers were helpful and a delight to work with
Cons
Mismanaged, loss of company contract, resulting to me being laid off

Great Company to work for! Wonderful environment, love the benefits. My coworkers are like family so it makes for a great work day. On a typical day, expect to be very busy with the members.

Unprofessional
Benefits Specialist (Former Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PADecember 14, 2015
While never missing a day of work or being a second late to start or coming back from breaks, and with a deep and successful resume in this field, I was laid off 2 weeks before Christmas, at least a month and a half before the contract was to end. As a contract worker, with close to 20 years in High End Corporate America, I had never experienced such a lack of leadership or cultivation of employees. I had received no complaints and was leading the majority of full time Morneau employees in QA scores. Also, below regional standards in pay for this position, Cronyism will certainly drive this company back into the ground as in 2010.
Pros
Nice Facility
Cons
Management/Employees unqualified in almost every area.

Morneau Shepell is a fast paced environment that does not properly train its employees to be equipped for the job. They overwork you with minimal pay. It is a very unprofessional environment.

Company has a lot of potential but no job security. Started off as a contractor and was hired full-time after 8 months. Management has no idea how to do processes and no training.

Low employee morale and draining work culture
Case Management Team Lead (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 17, 2015
I am very appreciate of the opportunity to have gained a thorough knowledge of healthcare benefits and billing. Initially, it was an exciting work environment probably because the employees were allowed to contribute to day-to-day process improvement. However, with the constant change in the management staff/direct reports was not handled in the most professional manner, communication throughout the company is poor and no organizational chart was provided which also added to the confusion around the workplace.

Employees are not appropriately compensated for the ever increasing demand for productivity. The moral is low and the work culture is draining.

One plus is the annual team building outing at Top Golf and the employees were occasionally awarded luncheons and monthly birthday cakes were provided.

Healthcare Benefits is a relatively new line a business for Morneau and I will admit there is an effort to bring structure to this line of business. Unfortunately, I was not interested in continuing to endure the mistreat during the growth process.

no job security, incompetent management, no real leadership
Rem-X Contractor/Member Services Support (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 4, 2015
I hope for the employees sake, that things change. This place is not stable, practice unfair policies, and the current leaders are messy, gossipy and do not have the skill set or professionalism to lead a strong workforce.

New people are coming in but they have a long way to go.

This is a new company so maybe in the next 2-5 years they will develop true core values, fair hiring and firing practices, and develop strong professional leaders who communicate well, care about the business growing, care about the consumer as we as the subordinates within the company.
Pros
decent pay
Cons
short breaks, no leadership for unique situations, unfair hiring practices, atmosphere is ghetto

The Devil Wears Prada
Support Services Manager (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 3, 2015
The Devil Wears Prada sums it all up. I went from working with an Angel to working for the Devil's Advocate. Middle management down to the front line employees are working to provide structure and the best service possible.
Pros
Middle managment and staff like comedy "The Office"
Cons
Upper management like the drama "Devil's Advocate"
