Service (Current Employee) –  Minnetonka, MNApril 3, 2018
Over the past 2 years I have watched the culture turn from confrontational and cut throat to Cooperative and Fun with a friendly element of competition. It has become a great place to work.

Morrie's really is a Family
Manager (Former Employee) –  Minnetonka, MNApril 3, 2018
As someone who has been in the industry for years, I can honestly say this is the first Auto group that really feels like home, like a family. Any job isn't without its challenges. But its the people you fight through those challenges with that makes all the difference.

Unprofessional management
Technician (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn Park, MNNovember 6, 2017
Favoritism.... discrimination ... excuses ....upper management doesn’t bother to really fix the problem. Instead they let it happen over and over again.. If you speak up you get blamed for the problem and get fired for it or get other techs fired for the wrong reason. Service Managers that speak bad about other technicians that are still working and the ones that quit behind there backs to current techs. Which makes the technician whom he is speaking to about feel uncomfortable... Managers that bribe about other technicians in front of other technicians ... it’s not a team. More like favoritism ... manager never stay long ... less then a year and then they quit.. unhealthy work environment due to the people you work with.. if it wasn’t for all this stuff that’s been going around it would be a great place to work for but management doesn’t bother to hear your voice..
Cons
You are just a number. Your voice means nothing

Coworkers are cool managers are liars especially general manager.
Detail Technician (Former Employee) –  Long Lake, MNMarch 11, 2016
I wasted a solid year and a half of my life thanks to broken promises and lies from the general manager. He will tell you anything to want to hear to drag you on but when it comes time to act he comes up with dumb excuses and then talks bad to other employees to try to get them on his side of things. Get anything that is promised in writing otherwise it will never happen. The first full year I was there the guy did absolutely nothing but watch YouTube videos and manage his fantasy sports, and that's when he actually was there. Usually he was only around a couple days a week, but when the company sold he all of a sudden acted like a boss for the new owners and turned the place into a mess. BEWARE!!!! They will lie to you any chance they get!
Pros
It was fun and enjoyable at one point.
Cons
Managers and constant lies.

Challenging and potentially rewarding
Quicklane service manager (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, MNJanuary 21, 2016
Being a quicklane advisor is a fast paced detail oriented job. They have a free oil change program that goes along with the vehicle purchase, so the flow of customer vehicles is constant and changes from an empty isle to eight vehicles (all of witch require immediate attention) within minutes... Literally five minutes. At the Buffalo location you are also required to perform the cashier duties along with managing the flow of work through the shop. The facility is limited to three swing arm lifts and the lube tech staff is usually comprised of three techs on at a time. The time standard regardless of the volume of business at any given time is 40min total visit time, the average volume on any given day is between 35-45 oil changes. Saturdays are required but are by far the most productive days to work due to having the most staff and more stalls to work with. WARNING your job (and your paycheck) depends on customer viewpoint survey scores. Ford values these survey scores more than sales numbers, so you have to make sure that every one of your customer's experience is absolutely perfect. An acceptable score is about 90 but you can have 10 perfect surveys and one bad one can bring you down to 70, so perfection is essential. Anything less and they'll move you out the back door. So if you are a sales driven multitasking never breaking under the pressure clutch QB type of perfectionist with the ability to make it happen with less than ideal tools then this jobs for you. Good luck!
Pros
great staff, great upper management team, wonderful culture of supporting coworkers
Cons
low pay for the expectations expect to make around $30k-$35k/annual for quicklane advisor, unattainable sales incentives that seem enticing but never seem to be within reach
