Challenging and potentially rewarding
Quicklane service manager (Former Employee) – Buffalo, MN – January 21, 2016
Being a quicklane advisor is a fast paced detail oriented job. They have a free oil change program that goes along with the vehicle purchase, so the flow of customer vehicles is constant and changes from an empty isle to eight vehicles (all of witch require immediate attention) within minutes... Literally five minutes. At the Buffalo location you are also required to perform the cashier duties along with managing the flow of work through the shop. The facility is limited to three swing arm lifts and the lube tech staff is usually comprised of three techs on at a time. The time standard regardless of the volume of business at any given time is 40min total visit time, the average volume on any given day is between 35-45 oil changes. Saturdays are required but are by far the most productive days to work due to having the most staff and more stalls to work with. WARNING your job (and your paycheck) depends on customer viewpoint survey scores. Ford values these survey scores more than sales numbers, so you have to make sure that every one of your customer's experience is absolutely perfect. An acceptable score is about 90 but you can have 10 perfect surveys and one bad one can bring you down to 70, so perfection is essential. Anything less and they'll move you out the back door. So if you are a sales driven multitasking never breaking under the pressure clutch QB type of perfectionist with the ability to make it happen with less than ideal tools then this jobs for you. Good luck!
great staff, great upper management team, wonderful culture of supporting coworkers
low pay for the expectations expect to make around $30k-$35k/annual for quicklane advisor, unattainable sales incentives that seem enticing but never seem to be within reach
