Instructor (Former Employee) – Cicero, IL – November 25, 2018
After working at the college nearly 20 years, I'd heavily suggest you don't apply. The school is on "notice" and is due to lose its accreditation in 13 months. If it loses its accreditation, you will lose your job and the students will lose their credit. Terrible place to work.
DATA ENTRY STUDENT AIDE, M.I.S (Current Employee) – Cicero, IL – June 5, 2017
Overall great work experience for people with 0 experience working Supervisors and managers are here to help you succeed Learned tons of interesting networking/troubleshooting tips you can't really learn in a class room, unless you experience it hands on The workplace is great for independent people The hardest part of the job is trying to keep people happy and calm when they have a hard time understanding computers. Frustrated people are typically harder to work with The best part of the job is getting experience with something I love which is computers.
free snacks sometimes, kitchen area, no strict bosses, not much supervision

Some teachers are great advocates for student employment opportunities at the school. Great as a first step for applying what you learned and getting your feet wet. Great opportunity for current students who wish to work around their schedule.
Versatile hours, Hands on work in the field depending on your discipline.

Café barista (Former Employee) – Cicero, IL – October 28, 2013
I enjoyed making specialty drinks and making customers feel special. This cafe is located inside of the library at Morton College, so most of my customers were students and professors. It is nice to wish them a good day and or evening, especially during midterm week and finals week.
