Awesome place to work and the managers are great. The pay is good. Always have full time positions. Lots of overtime offered and they treat employees really good.

Bullies in management

Management is just a bunch of a jerks that like to play stupid games with people. Couldn't stand anyone in management there. Very arrogant group of hicks.

Hostile and underpaid

What is the best part of working at the company? For the most part it is a clean facility What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Lack of professionalism in upper management What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Clean environment with an everyman for himself cultureWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Depends on what department you work in. They expect $50/hr work from you but pay you a fraction of what you’re actually worth. They will take advantage of the hard working people and let the lazy ones skate by doing bare minimum then get mad when you stop over achieving.

Fun Workplace

The job wasn't hard and the management was always friendly and easy too get along with. The pay wasn't that great. If you don't like to work a lot of mandatory overtime this place is not for you because they work a lot of 10 hour mandatory shifts Mon-Fri and every other Saturday is Mandatory also.

Good place to work

This place is a fun and enjoyable place to work with a fast moving culture. I would recommend as an entry level internship if you do not have a lot of prior experience.

Sucks

They will run you into the ground with the overtime and hours and if you have a family member working there and they upset them they will take it out on you and retaliation is a big thing

Family environment with many opportunities to advance!

I enjoy coming into work because of the people I work with. It is a family atmosphere and we all work together. I believe the owner truly care about the employees. There are many opportunities for employees that want to learn new skills and to advance into new roles.

Wouldn't recommend.

First of all they preach about them being a family company and they care about there employees. They don't whatsoever, all they care about is pushing product out the door no matter what. They will hire you in for a position then move you all around the shop having you do things that if you got hired in to do them it would be a substantial pay raise from what they have been giving you. Professionalism and communication is awful.

Pros

None

Cons

Short breaks, long hours, pay isn't fair for the job your being required to do.

Lack of leadership

I loved what I did, I did not like who I worked for due to lack of communication, very opinionated supervisor who is very negative. Doesn’t have anything positive to say EVER

Pros

Higher ups do their best to make it a family environment

Cons

Short breaks

You need to take initiative, but even then...

Don't expect training, that doesn't happen. You have to figure out their system. Breaks are short, and your time will be strictly managed until you "prove yourself" and earn special treatment. 10 minute smoke break and 20 minutes for lunch on a 9 hour day. A high turnover, so there is a reluctancy to invest in training and personal development.I liked what I did then, but there are a lot of thankless jobs there. I was marginally disgruntled after what I went through to get a little recognition. I was learning, but the work load was absurd. Expect to work 6 days per week. If you're smart and can improve their chaos, maybe you can excel? I might still work there, and changed all the tenses because I'm concerned that I would be identified by the specifics.

Pros

Opportunity from chaos?

Cons

Short breaks, oppressive culture.

Great people

By far the best company I have been a part of. The truly care about their employees and show it in big ways. Complete compensation overhaul, revised vacation package, great benefits, and they hire those that are the right fit to enhance the culture.

Pros

Family feel

Cons

Can get hot

Bad pay and poor management

Poor management and poor planning are running this once great family company into the ground. We are running out of room every where in the plant. They take away room for pointless projects that never go anywhere. They don’t open their pocketbooks to pay employees and give excuses for freezing wages.

Pros

None right now

Cons

Stressful work environment, and too many weekends

An amazing place to work but Long hours!

Working at Morton Industries has been an amazing opportunity. Unfortunately the hours are very long with tons of mandatory overtime. The schedule changes more than I would like but everyone is very inviting, helpful, and more than willing to work with you. I have had no problems with this company and would highly recommend applying if you want plenty of hours at a good pay rate.

Pros

Inviting work place, Helpful Coworkers, Amazing Management

Cons

Shortish Breaks, Long Hours, Schedule Changes

Hard work not enough pay

Work 9-10 hours a day and only get 30-40 minutes of break time. Only 1 weekend off a month. Not worth the strain it puts on your Body. The check from working 55-60 hours is nice but not worth my time
