MRC was a great family like environment, but over the years that has really changed. Its unfortunate this is the only residential treatment center in the area.

This used to be a rewarding job in which you felt like you actually helped people. Now, it is a place for substance users to “hang out”. Management is a real life mean girls club. There are some great employees working there for the right reasons but they won’t be there for much longer if the management continues to run the place into the ground.
Business Office Director in Salem, VA
on July 24, 2022
First 2.5 years I worked here were phenomenal. The CEO was compassionate bout not only the patients but the staff & the program was stellar. After change in CEO & CFO, place went to down hill fast. If they can get a new CEO & definitely a new HR director this place just might be something to brag about again but until then it’s a dark & dreary place to work unless you enjoy that ignorant high school drama.

What is the best part of working at Mount Regis Center?Salary was sufficient What is the most stressful part about working at Mount Regis Center? This is one of the most unhealthy work environments I have ever worked in. The executive leadership have a mean girls club and you won’t make it long if you have morals and go against them. They also are more focused on filling beds (aka making money) than providing excellent clinical services. The leadership, including HR have also bent a corporate nepotism policy in order to promote someone. Would not recommend working here.
