They pay over time after 50 hours a week. Pay it’s low compare to industry. The company it’s good but pay not. This company is good to get experience.
Good support if something happens on the road
Low pay, over time pay after 50 hours.
You can make a lot more money at the bigger carriers (hence the one star deduction), but I've found the culture at MVE suits me. It's grown a lot but still maintains a small company atmosphere. Management, from the terminal all the way up to president of the company, are very approachable and will take the time to listen to concerns you may have. I like it here. I haven't seen any change in that since being bought out by GLS. Quite a bit of equipment upgrades happening.
Company culture, good equipment
Pay doesn't compete with bigger outfits, but can be a worthwhile trade-off for someone who wants to avoid big company bureaucracy.
I was happy working at mountain valley Express at paramount city California i really enjoyed my time there if they would take me back I'll go back in a heart beat
I say everything was great
They say you can move in the company but it's not true if you are otr they will keep you there

Get your year experience and run for the hills! Old equipment thats always having issues. Dispatch is terrible. They put drivers in dangerous situations and don't listen when you voice concerns. Loads are constantly out of order requiring the driver to rearrange everything out on the road. Many times you will have multiple lift gate required deliveries and guess what....No Lift gate! They dont care about work life balance. Their only concern is what you can do for them. Start time constantly fluctuates and they expect you to be available whenever they need you. Overall this place sucks. Like I said in the beginning get your year, then get out and go to a company thats going to take care of you because MVE is not that company.
Mon-Fri, Take Drivers with 0 experience.
Under paid, Bad dispatchers, very old equipment, start time always changing, inconsistent hours when its not the "busy" season.
Overtime after 10 hours or 50 a week so if you do twelve in one day and six the other day you loose your two hours( is that legal,?).management is really rude to drivers ,quick to write you up for any reason especially when you cant stay for overtime( forced overtime).I've seen really good drivers leave even when they haven't even found another job cause management is always on them..CAMERAS IN ALL THE TRACTOR CABS.Old equipment, drivers are all really cool guys but dock workers are forced to throw pallets in with no order..
Lots of forced overtime
Fontana yard supervisor runs it like a thug/ gang.
Cons: Unsafe Old Equipment with only one mechanic that’s overwhelmed with work. You find something wrong in your Pre-trip inspection like trailer breaks the Driver manager will try and talk you into delivering your route anyway. The terminal manager cut dock worker hours by telling them to load the freight in any order so they get done faster and clock out. That means the drivers had to reorganize the freight inside the trailers out on the road with a broken pallet jack and that’s if you where able to get a pallet jack. Office puts tractor keys in a pile so it’s first come first serve for a tractor and all the drivers come as early as possible to get a semi decent truck.
Horrible management these guys don’t know how to run a company let alone the shop...sick days count as your vacation days .. so In order for you to take sick day , you need to take some vacation time that is accrual thru hours you work ... this company is just a stepping stone . Use it and bounce 💩
Working here is enjoyable, however, there is a lot of tasks and work to be done. Everything comes in quickly and as a CSR we need to stay on top of everything and make sure things get done as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Working as a team is the key to making sure things run smoothly in the office. And some supervisors are always ready to help. The hardest part might be to get people to work together and keeping up with the work load. But there are a few people that like to have a little fun and the drivers are all so sweet and funny.
Workers here are incredibly underpaid compared to other companies in the same category. Management in mid-shift is basically a power tripping dude that only tries to put you down, he will threaten you if you get on his bad side or give you annoying jobs like sweeping dirt if not to his liking or cut your hours. Pay raises here are incredibly underwhelming. All this company cares about is profit not employees unfortunately.
