If your desperate for a job or a teenager apply here
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PADecember 12, 2018
Look I worked at the Philadelphia store. The technology and practices date back to the 90’s. When I first started working there: there internet didn’t work. Operationally it was a mess, dead product in the back. Over flowing shelves of product in the front. Just jam it on!! Product you did need you couldn’t find and when you did anything to improve operations you received push back from management. Look this company isn’t worth working for, miss managed and isn’t a place for an experienced professional. If your desperate for a job or a teenager apply here. I’m sure you’ll get a call.

Quality Control needs to implemented
Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Aurora, ILMay 11, 2018
Their products are often flawed and are in need of redesign. Cheaply made stuff overall. If the company wanted to compete with other outdoor rec. brands they would have had to have brought up better quality in the initial business model. Instead its mostly one time use products. Nothing lifetime.

I enjoyed working at mountain warehouse, the discounts were generous and the atmosphere was nice. Hours were ok, the store was very slow at times and there wasn't much room for advancement

nothing made sense and protocol changed every week. hours were too long because there was not enough staff. most employees were underpaid for the amount of work done.

Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Aurora, ILJuly 30, 2017
This store is awesome, really cool product if you're into outdoors and amazing discount.
Most of the time you're processing shipment and doing standards. Most customers here are always happy because they need things for trips they go on
Pros
Flexible hours, discount, not stressful
Cons
Not really anything I can think of

Terrible Company and Management
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Niagara Falls, NYMay 12, 2016
Hands down the most unorganized, unprofessional and mismanaged company I've ever worked for. We had Canadian employees in our NY location as managers who were completely oblivious to NYS labor laws and regulations. Some employees went WEEKS without getting paid, correctly or at all. And the store set up and opening were delayed by almost a week.

Fun Work Environment with Little Chance to Advance Within
Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Auburn Hills, MIFebruary 21, 2016
Mountain Warehouse is a fun and family orientated environment with a great selection of high quality items. Although this company has a great work culture, they do not offer many opportunities to advance and grow within. Some associates were offered training and help to learn more skills in order to advance, while others were not offered the same opportunities with inquiry. This company did not offer health benefits for all full time employees and had poor sales incentives. Overall, Mountain Warehouse is a fun and energetic company that is a great addition to the retail market in the United Sates, but lacks opportunities for those who are looking to grow with the company.
