Zero Direction

Love the owner, but the company itself has a management identity problem. A team will have multiple managers trying with conflicting ideas. The have a great mission and product, but awful execution.

This company did a 180 within 6 months. Management is trash and overworks their employee with little to no training. They have their own favorites that they love to give kudos to and replace anyone who knows the good old days. This company has lost over 10 crucial employees since being there.

Great place to work

Nice work-life balance and fun culture. Good teammates who are helpful and responsive. Lots of autonomy and freedom to make your own decisions. I would definitely recommend!

Amazing Company to Work For!!!

I have worked for MP for 5 years now. I absolutely love the company culture. They genuinely care about their people and are always looking to promote within. I have personally been promoted 3 times since starting here. MP values feedback from their employees and is always looking to grow and improve. There has been some turnover in senior leadership but now we have amazing managers who support and really listen to their people. I honestly cannot say enough good things about working here.

Great place to work!

One of MP's core values is providing WOW service and we have a group of talented teammates who do just that. Especially during these very difficult times in our country and economy, this team steps up to give clients our very best. It's in our DNA, fostered by our founder Jason Maxwell and a very supportive leadership team. MP mirrors my own values and gives me the opportunity to grow and give back, which makes it the best place to work. I love the collaborative environment and most importantly the chance to make a difference. MP cares about its employees, both personally and professionally.

Don't buy what they are selling

Masspay is nothing like its advertised image. Masspay presents itself as a company that loves its people, that is core to their business offering. In reality the free lunch, free coffee, lovefest is how they underpay and over work the staff. They claim there is little turnover and that couldn't be further from the truth, just check the employees on LinkedIn. Don't think of giving any constructive criticism, or insight; that is just not the positive mindset that all must have at Masspay. There is little real room for advancement and so far their expansion plans over the last few years have failed. Stop hiring people away from good jobs only to under support them. Invest in solid marketing to drive qualified leads and stop making people call 10+ year old data. Also you aren't a tech company you're a payroll company, own it.

People and Culture

This has been a fantastic place to work. All departments get along and communicate constantly to make sure prospects and clients are taken care of. The culture is great and there are many group calls/ events to keep everyone together and welcome new members to the team. Management is serious but fun

Successful Payroll/HCM Software company with innovative leaders

The culture at MP is warm, friendly & hard-working. The CEO is approachable and has led the company successfully through COVID-19. He is always looking out for the employees well-being and health during this time. You will not find the typical hierarchy here... there is an 'open door' policy with the leadership team. Employees are recognized for their hard work week after week. In January, MP hosted a weekend in VT for all employees and guests. It was a very generous way to say thank you. I feel appreciated and proud to work at MP.

Busy workplace filled with new learning opportunities.

I often worked remotely, updating and drafting pages via WordPress. At this startup, I help incorporate the company through a Delaware Agent and file all necessary paperwork. I learned how to proficiently use WordPress and attended work meetings often. The hardest part of the job was navigating the WordPress platform and converting it into an interactive website. The most enjoyable part was attending the meetings and being able to contribute with my own ideas.

Great CEO; other leaders are so-so

The mission and vision of this company are spot on, but the senior management is burdened with trying to grow too fast. They are burning themselves out, and some of the decisions they make go against the company mission and vision. I'm sure things will balance out in time.
