Worst company I’ve ever worked for
Commercial Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) - Lincolnshire, IL - July 23, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI wouldn’t go back if I had to! This company sucks big time and pay is by the load and isn’t realistic or reliable, management is rude and don’t care about their employees! Very long days and the pay doesn’t match the work day. It should be hourly not per load
Pros
Newer trucks
Cons
Paid by the load

Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Lorton, VA - July 16, 2023
Pay is no good, can’t maintain bills or anything especially if you really want ice things in life. You won’t get it here Pay structure is just enough for you to keep your head above water if that.

Don’t do it
Diesel Mechanic Technician (Former Employee) - Chesapeake, VA - May 22, 2023
This is the most unorganized place I’ve ever seen. No one in charge of maintenance, you don’t see DVIR, only word of mouth info of repair from a third party. Wasteful spending and parts changing. Could be awesome shop with management changes.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Unorganized

Getting changed from 330am starting time to 5am. Getting overloaded with no permit.. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Co workers are great.. boss is a good boss What is a typical day like for you at the company? Working 3 loads a day.. about 14hrs a day.. no lunch unless you log out...

Low pay
Driver/Operator (Former Employee) - Burnham, IL - April 12, 2023
The company doesn’t want to pay for things that would make the job better and easier did the drivers. The paying is based off where you go and they will give you the low paying runs everyday

Expect to be broke down at least once a month with something unless you work around the head quarters up north you get hand me down trucks and trailers but when you do run they pay great no room for advancement within company
Pros
High compensation and make your own time
Cons
Horrible equipment

Someday are better than others
Driver (Current Employee) - East Syracuse, NY - January 17, 2023
Good money as long as your truck is running otherwise you sit home till it is fixed. Equipment is breaking down left and right and if things keep going the way they are MBI maybe a thing of the past in this region.

Long days but plenty of opportunity to make good money
Driver (Current Employee) - Columbus, OH - September 11, 2022
If you want to make good money, you’re going to put in 13-14 hours. Pay is by load so it can be frustrating if you have to wait to get loaded. Hauling trash and you have to walk through trash to roll your tarp..this needs to be changed. Brand new trucks. As long as you do your job and keep out of the drama with drivers you’ll get along with manager and dispatcher. Not the best job but it can always be worse.

its a job
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Burnham, IL - August 29, 2022
you go to trash transfers get loaded and run to the landfill, depending on transfer and landfill, could be some time which isn't good being that you are paid by the load. although there is detention from transfer after 1 hr, and 2hrs at landfill. work is steady except in winter time, it slows down a bit.

Truck Driver
Driver (Former Employee) - Lexington, KY - August 26, 2022
Great place to work. The money is great. Company itself treats their employees great. There is a lot of bonuses. If you enjoy being home every night and driving a truck you should give MBI a try.

Simple, but demanding work.
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - July 12, 2022
MBI is super simple compared to most trucking jobs. The pay is not the best, but there is ALL THE OVERTIME you could want. Overall not a bad job, local and easy. Definitely something I'd recommend for anyone looking for experience, but not for someone with experience looking to get paid for it.
Pros
Overtime, minimal paperwork, experience, local
Cons
Repetitive, Physically Demanding, 70 hour work weeks, Lack of structure which leads to drivers abusing the system.

No life outside of work
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) - Santan, AZ - June 9, 2022
It's a job but be ready to have no life outside of MBI. Also don't get hurt while on the job or else you disqualify from your sign on bonus no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Decent gig if you don’t mind hauling trash
Truck Driver Class A CDL (Current Employee) - Zion, IL - April 3, 2022
Ok job if you don’t mind smelling trash all day. Trash is loaded at transfer center and delivered /dumped at landfill. You are required to walk on trash to secure the loads

It’s a job
Mechanic (Current Employee) - Burnham, IL - February 10, 2022
Pay compensation is decent, 1-3 raises per year including cost of living adjustments, work hours aren’t bad, management is absolutely terrible in SOME area, certain managers will avoid or flat out ignore your questions or concerns ( you will be held accountable for not reading minds), one person will tell you this yet another that and you now have 2 wrong choices ahead of you, your co-workers will give you better advice than most management, some managers are extremely incompetent in their works and it shows. Your co-workers will make things better though they’re all good people.

Good people, mostly respectful
Mechanic (Current Employee) - East Syracuse, NY - December 8, 2021
Not a bad job at all, depending on who's willing to teach you the way things should be you can always learn something new. Hours are good pay rate isn't bad either. Never knowing what work will come through the door will always have you wondering what the work day will be like lol. New management is actually trying to communicate with the mechanic which is something that was desperately needed.
Pros
Communication is getting better by the day

Good company / No help with the job
CDL Driver (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - November 20, 2021
Good company to worl for and make some decent money . But no one will be there to help you . I was stuck for about 4 hours because I wasnt able to tarp my load properly due to bad training . Training is only about 2-3 days and you are on your own . You will get sometimes a driver or 2 that will help you but there are others who want to see you fail because they dont want new drivers “taking their spot ”. If you plan on working here , dont expect alot
Pros
Benefits and sign on bonus
Cons
Drivers and load securement and tipper
