Boss is a good guy.
Journeyman Electrician (Former Employee) - Mount Pleasant, MI - April 22, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedBoss is a good guy everyone in the office is related so that pretty much tells you all you need to know.. Pay is okay, but being based off commission kind of stinks because they don’t want to hire apprentices to help you get the work done faster to hit your goals.
Pros
Drive time
Cons
Lady in the office.

Commission based pay. Work hard. Play hard.
Service Technician (Current Employee) - Independence, OH - November 14, 2023
They have consistent leads. You can make great money if you work fast and efficiently. Management is organized and leaves you alone if you're good. They use service titan which is a huge plus. If you want to work here, then find another tech you can get along with and split the big jobs. Company van and gas card. They aren't sticklers about buying materials. If you're making them money then they leave you alone.
Pros
Commission pay, company van
Cons
Slow season Jan through March, don't spend it all in one place

Jobs at Mr. Electric
Some great electricians, but poor management
Electrician's Apprentice (Former Employee) - Zephyrhills, FL - November 13, 2023
Most of my time at this job wasn't bad in fact it was pretty great for a time, I made great connections with a handful of really great people while I was there. The worst part was having to spend time in the office, the management was lacking and the dispatcher didn't know her job. The management and 2023 dispatcher showed extreme favoritism towards their more lacking electricians that would flatter them. Management would also ask you to participate in unrelated events outside of operating hours and then be upset if you decline or attempt to guilt you into it. They will treat you great one week and ask if they could clone you and the next after you've declined one of their events they shun you.
Pros
As a service tech they provide a really great cooler
Cons
Management

Worst place I ever worked
Service Technician (Former Employee) - Columbus, OH - October 24, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Pay was ok but found them to play favoritism. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Vehicles are in poor condition and the mgr hates his job. Makes life miserable for the other employees. No one there to help you when you are in need. Very hostile work atmosphere. Vulgar language used in the office What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Hostile unfriendly.negative and non constructive

Wonderful place to work
Dispatcher (Current Employee) - Land O' Lakes, FL - October 2, 2023
For the first time in a long time I don’t dread coming to work everyday. Our office dog Gulia makes that day even better when she is in office and a huge reason why I love working here.

Not a good place to work if you arnt a salesman
"Service Professional" (Former Employee) - Fenton, MO - September 4, 2023
I really do not recommend working for this company if you actually care about people they are over priced corporate franchise they literally told me a former worker that they bake 15% on to the price so incase you take the monthly membership that gives a discout of 15% they dont actually lose out anything. Had not given me a pay raise in 1.5 years working there
Pros
Paintball once a year
Cons
Manager is not a Manager

Great place to work
Electrician (Current Employee) - California - August 6, 2023
The pay is good but there are no benefits to this job. A lot of the advertised salaries are based on commission so not only are you an electrician they also expect you to be a salesman.

The Culture and Values
Journeyman Electrician (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - June 13, 2023
The company/management/owners work to get to know each of the employees, what motivates them and their goals. They support each employee in their goals and help them be "driven to win"! The company has outlined values which align with my own based on Respect, Integrity, and Customer Service, strives to follow them everyday, and expects that from each employee. In electrical service, you get to do different things everyday, meet new people and help customers better understand the electrical system in their home. We GET to make people safer and that's powerful! Great place to work. I wouldn't look anywhere else and I'm not!

Productive, fun, and a great place to learn!
Helper/Installer (Former Employee) - Beaumont, TX - May 15, 2023
This was my first job as an electrician's helper. Within 1.5 years I was able to do more by myself than any other job I had EVER had! The work was hard sometimes, but the leadership was always on hand to lend a hand and help guide me through the day. They gave me the confidence to succeed! Which I did until covid hit!!!
Pros
Constant training by patient people who are always right there with You side by side!!!
Cons
No cons!

Journeyman Electrician (Former Employee) - 17 south Franklin turnpike Ramsey New Jersey - April 30, 2023
Company will only deceive if of all jobs they pick and choose what jobs to give you since your commission based they make you wake up at 6am every Wednesday to go over payroll in which the company always cons you about getting paid stay away if you can.
Pros
There is no pro
Cons
Dishonest all the way around

Ok, but I lived 2 hours away from the central Michigan office, so I had a lot of road time. Fairly low stress, and a nice team.
Master Field Electrician (Former Employee) - Mt. Pleasant, MI - March 27, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Regular team meetings, uniforms, company truck What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Once a week early morning meeting What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very pleasant and positive. A very professional, systemized method to sell electrical services What is a typical day like for you at the company? Receive your dispatch assignment, travel to the call, evaluate the customer's needs and either perform diagnostic repairs or submit a quote for the requested work. If scheduled, you would stop at a supplier, pick up materials and go to the job.

The Best Job I have had with the Best Employer I have ever had
Keeping in mind independently owned and operated is key. I have met owners of other locations and the owner I work for makes the work environment better by far. We are treated better than fair and sometimes it can feel like the responsibilities you have at work are less than the pay but they do ask you to complete your fair share. They do have an established system in place that you are expected to follow and it does lead to success. This reflects management well because by giving you the resources to succeed and clear instructions on your job responsibilities everyone knows what they are to do or who to contact if you have questions. The culture is amazingly backed by biblical morals and a true sense of teamwork. We do have fun in the process as well.
Pros
Pay, Benifits, opportunities
Cons
some coworkers do not embrase the set culture

Management is a mess of no communication and and any real planning.
Wireman (Former Employee) - Spring, TX - February 27, 2023
there were few things I could say positively about the company. The owner was probably the only real stand out on a positive side for upper management but due to the majority of the office staff being related, or in a relationship, many deficiencies were overlooked. Top sellers never received a bonus even after a decade or more with the company and the base pay is low with a regular week being between 30-40 hours.
Pros
Fuel expenses sometimes covered once a week unless you're in a company vehicle, then it's as needed.
Cons
Lack of planning, poor pay, and general disregard of personal life and time if it didn't make the company money.

Productive
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Broussard, LA - February 13, 2023
Pay is pretty reasonable, some days it’s constant phones ringing and other days it’s really slow. Pretty easy to get vacation time off. Management is alright

EASILY Best company I have ever worked
Supervisor (Current Employee) - Tulsa, OK - January 4, 2023
Onboarding was smooth, and I got to know the owner and a manager right off the bat. They are "people-focused" and seem to really enjoy what they do. I was introduced to everyone during the team meetings. I really enjoy working with the guys here. Even though, I work on my own in a van 80% of the time. I get to meet a lot of people, and no day looks exactly the same. Service work is pretty easy, with lots of windshield time or time just talking to the customers. The pay & benefits are great! It is based on performance BUT the training plan, resources, and help that I got really helped out. I have no complaints at all.
Pros
Pay, culture, benefits, bonuses, leadership, on going education, advancement ability, take home van
Cons
Everyday you have your mind right; lots of talking with customers.
