Work-life balanceWork-life balance at MRCI: At times, like most human services jobs, there can be a lot of extra time in. Especially if salaried. But vacation and sick leave is generous along with additional paid holidays, and I've never had an issue getting time off over the years.Pay & benefitsMy pay and benefits at MRCI: Good relative to similar level jobs. POST COVID19 salaries for the new roles were increased. Benefits are very good.Job security and advancementIn terms of job security at MRCI: It's an unusual year because COVID19 tragically forced closure of the day center sites. People at all levels of management, supervisors and direct support staff lost jobs. In typical times it was a secure job. I do feel secure in my new position, providing we can keep developing programs in this new season for MRCI, and I would like to have a long career with this company.ManagementIn general, managers at MRCI: are genuinely caring and supportive. Their focus is serving and providing quality services for participants. They are involved politically; advocating for those they serve. I feel supported and included by leadership staff as well as my supervisor level peers.CultureCollaboration with my colleagues at MRCI: the best part of this job. Absolutely amazing and talented people.OverallMy experience working at MRCI: the best professional job I've had overall. Human service salaries aside (no one does this to get rich) this company is a good fit for anyone who has the heart, desire, sense of humor, and character to support people in fulfilling their life goals.
