Mulitplan is a good company and decent place to work, upper Management is fair, listens to and implements employees suggestions.
There are excellent and reasonably priced employee benefits pkg, along with really good discounts and perks, however, pay range is very low.
Pros
Lots of Company Sponsored Discounts, & Perks, Excellent Benefit package Management is fair.
Cons
Pay rate and scale is very low compared to other companies

The actual job is far different then what is portrayed in the interview. The job is basically fee negotiations on individual claims with out of network providers the idea is to get providers to cut their bills to save the insurance co money, in return the prov gets a faster payment. The pay is very low with yearly merit increase at less than 20 cents a yr. They have so many petty rules such as you cannot listen to music on your phone, far too many rules for the amount of work and low pay you are given. Management definitely has their favorites and the favorites are the ones that advance in the company. I worked there out of convenience it was close to home and offered flex schedule to give me more time with my kids.

Work for multiplan for 9 years. Love the fact that they had paid time off. Enjoyed working with my co-workers team leader and supervisor. Gained a lot of experience regarding negotiating claims.

the top management needed overhaul, other than that it was a fair job, the immediate supervisors and the regular employees made it tolerable. the bonuses promised sounded better than what was actually given out as well.

Very challenging place of employment, very difficult to try to get provider to take a pay cut. You have to know Sales to convince someone to take a pay cut. Very stressful place to work and compensation is way below standards

there is no room for advancement multiplan tells you that there is room for growth but it not they will promote who they want to promote even if they are no qualified for the job. multiplan does not pay for your skill level they don't give raises but once a year and when they give the raise at the beginning of year it not anything more than 10 cents. you do have a bonus you get quarterly but you have to jump through hoops to make the bonus and if you are out to many days within that quarter they will take half of your bonus and if you are on a write up they will take half of your bonus multiplan feels that the bonus makes up for not paying you hourly. They have a high turnover rate people come for them and after they see how much work they require and the money they are paying they do not stay

The amount of work you are expected to complete everyday is ridiculous for what they pay. Managers micromanage employees to the point where you are not permitted to talk to your coworkers, get out of your seat, etc without constantly being questioned. Bonus metrics are changed every quarter so you never get max payout. You are expected to lie to and threaten medical providers to sign over part of their pay to make the insurance companies and MultiPlan's pockets fatter under the guise that the physicians will receive their pay faster. Not even sure how this company is allowed to exist being that they get sued every few years.

A typical day at work will start off as preparation, focused and meeting goals.

Learned to become more dedicated to my work while maintaining job related goals.

Fair recognition of employees, honor individual achievements and promotions from within.

With co-workers we plan social activities, and holiday events.

The hardest part was a sudden change of system requirements or programs that had to be implemented immediately

I really enjoyed my time there. For the most part my coworkers were very helpful and friendly. A typical day involved a lot of problem solving and dedication to the end product. New training seminars were always available.

This job used insurance companies computer systems to retrieve and locate missing information. After retrieving that information a search to match the information with a Multiplan contract. Problem-solving with why the system did not automatically price the claim with a contract.

Problem-solved workflow problems with co-workers and worked to improve the existing workflows.

Problem-solved why the claims were not catching that the provider was a contracted provider.

Company offers plenty of overtime. Workload is full. Management needs more experience. Many hard workers are overlooked while the managers have their favorites. Based on the workload, the pay is on the lower end.
