The most useful review selected by IndeedBusiness growing a lot, which causes growing pains. Teamwork is good and pay is market average. Some politics can influence the day-to-day work sometimes.

Mechanical Assembler II (Former Employee) - Amesbury, MA - July 6, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The 4 day work week schedule was great. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Lack of proper training. Better have a lot of experience or catch on quick because the training does not exist. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Saying this shop is unorganized is a total understatement. Oh and I hope you like dirt! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Arrive, stretch as a group, team meeting then build machines the size of houses till your arms fall off.

Great Company, Growing
Sales (Former Employee) - Amesbury, MA - June 25, 2023
Munters is a great company with a focus on growth. Innovation speed could be improved but overall it's a great place to work. The company lost some of its family feel over the years but its still a great place to work.

Stay away
Cell Leader (Current Employee) - Buena Vista, VA - June 19, 2023
When this company was in Buena Vista it was ok to work at, once they announced they were moving it went straight down hill . Management is absolutely terrible , there’s no home/work life balance. I wouldn’t even recommend my worst enemy to apply here.
Pros
None to list
Cons
Everything about it

Very very poorly managed
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Daleville, VA - June 15, 2023
There very deceitful, they make the job sound amazing during interview and training, but they dont follow half of what they tell you before your out on the floor working, they prioritize the minoritys which isnt the issue but id say at least 50 percent of there work force is ilegals. Constantly we lose that half of workers and then it burns out the workers from the area who show up everyday and they end up leaving to, managments priorities are way out of order if they even care at all

Electrical Wireman (Current Employee) - Daleville, VA - January 12, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Knowing I will one day find another job. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Micro-managing to a degree I’ve never seen or heard of. Absolutely no organization plant wide, and horrible “management” overall. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic as can be. We start each day with stretches followed by threats of firing everybody for every little infraction that happened the day before. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Clock in. Be told we’re all garbage. Look for material to build units. Get yelled at for looking for material. Rinse, repeat.

It's a circus
Production Line Leader (Former Employee) - Amesbury, MA - September 1, 2022
Place is a circus. Can't get parts, can't keep employees, and can't give you straight answer about anything work related. No one really knows whats going on, you have to seek out training, supplies and basic needs of their employees are usually met with should shrugs and I dont knows. The benefits look great up front but if you have anything serious happen or have a ongoing condition youll be in the poorhouse quick. They churn through Line Leaders and if youre not in the clique youre out on your own. They do pay well and do have benefits, 2 stars for that.

Big goals
Marketing Manager (Current Employee) - Lansing, MI - July 18, 2022
It’s great to be part of a large company with big goals but it’s difficult to get it done at the local level with old mindsets and habits. Can be frustrating if you’re an ambitious person.

Jobs at Munters Corporation
Good coworkers but management is not that great
Assembler (Former Employee) - Buena Vista, VA - September 8, 2021
My opinion, but management has their pick of workers to be in their clique. Work is good but always mandatory overtime and pay is not competitive as it should be.
Pros
Always something new to do
Cons
Management

Production is inadequate and employees suffer from the “boys club”mentality
Service Technician (Former Employee) - Midwest region - August 12, 2021
Another company with empty promises. Technician travel to sites where actual meaningful work isn’t accomplished. Munters is one step before retirement
Pros
A pay check
Cons
Small work vans, life in a hotel, product production

Productive environment and busy
Assembler/Production (Former Employee) - Buena Vista, VA - June 16, 2021
The drive is long especially after a ten hour day. A shift operation and most of the employees are nice. The HR department is helpful, courteous and on point.

Good Pay
Office Employess (Current Employee) - Amesbury, MA - December 15, 2020
Managent is horrible. No communication from the top down. Company lacks in training, expects you to self teach with hard to read training materials. If management does not like you, you walk around with a target on your back.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Everything Else

Good Company
Electrical Technician (Former Employee) - Massachusetts - December 5, 2020
Munters was good company to work for but it had bad Management. The management didn’t know how to schedule workload. You also had no home time. Mostly mandatory 6 day weeks most of the year.

No ownership and lack of loyalty on managements part.
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Selma, TX - October 10, 2020
Management & supervision is a joke. No one wants to take ownership & lead everyone wants to follow & let crumble. Ideas are critisised yet the company continues on a downward motion. Maintenance is nonproactive & blame employees for breakdowns. No safety enforcement, no attendance enforcement & no disciplin. STRONG lack of leadership & no loyality between supervisors. Its a world of cut throat cause they (supervisors) cant work together. There was only one decent supervisor who enforced safety and policies and helped employees grow but they let him go in a round of layoffs. This company needs more like him and needs to get rid of the two supervisors they currently have because they are a MAJOR part of the problem. Its no wonder Munters is closing its commercial operation here in Texas, they don't know how to lead.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Lack of leadership LONG hours.

Welder/Fabricator (Former Employee) - Amesbury, MA - October 9, 2020
I worked there for 9 + years i would have stayed but was commuting too far. Had a great boss and good coworkers. Kept busy and was left to do what needed done.

It’s not the best job or the worst job
Commercial Assembly (Current Employee) - Buena Vista, VA - October 2, 2020
I have been employed by this company for a couple years. Management is poor. No leadership skills. Not organized . Do not appreciate employees efforts. No motivation. Leadership positions are filled on a friend basis/buddy system not on skills for the position. Management will not demote leaders or address them for behaviors. It gets blown off. They would rather lose a good employee than address working environment. Benefits are excellent. Pay is poor for workload raises are chosen and not based on performance of supervisor is your buddy you’re getting a good raise. Best worker can get chump change. Not fair. A lot of overtime. Need better skilled supervisors and cell leaders not a buddy, jobs need to be filled based on experience and leadership skills in a whole.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Poor management, poor pay, no motivation
